For the last week Avila has been hitting better. What you should be saying "ugh" about is Frazier and Lawrie both hitting .181 for the last 30 games. Avi has a 9 game hitting streak and a .357 average for the last week and .278 for the last 15 games, yet he's hitting 8th.

Does Ventura get s*** canned if they get swept?

Let's hope, but I'm at the point of not caring either way. We know he's done after this season. We know the Sox suck and won't contend. Monday or 15 Monday's from now. It doesn't matter unless they want to give Renteria a free look, so to speak.

The Sox fall into the bottom 5 in the league with a loss and Astros win vs Reds.

The Sox had the best record in the AL by 3.5 games 41 days ago.

No I don't think so. Plus I hope not since the team management has made some questionable decisions that affected the players going back to Laroche. The players support Ventura and canning hiom might really cause a decline. We haven't even reached the all-star break yet and are in the thick of things. The team can get straightened out

Lol...you must be following a different team, because they literally couldn't be playing any worse.

Yeah both those guys are killing us lately.

Sac bunting in the first inning.

LOL

Hawk actually made an interesting point...Abreu wasn't hitting at all during April and the Sox were the best team in the league. Everyone was saying in order for the Sox to really compete, Abreu will need to start hitting. He has been hitting well now, and the Sox have been sucking it up. Wtf lol.

Frazier not even close. Head flying out so badly. Oh well, nice jobs by Anderson and Abreu

Of course our stupid sac bunts doesn't do anything and theirs gets the buntee on base.

Here we go again Sox score and want to give lead back.

Two doubles for us and a run. Runner on second with one out and we get the pop fly to left and a strike out. Tribe gets a bloopvsinglevand a high hop bunt and a stolen base and no out

Whenever your pitching stinks like the Sox, it makes sense to play for one run. Hopefully this is the last day of the Ventura era

Cooper is doing a wonderful job

They hit one ball hard, we hit two. Our pitcher threw one more pitch than theirs. The game is tied. No reason to slit the wrists just yet, people.

Great at bat there by Avila. The rest of the team needs to take a lesson from him.

Rodon had a decent first inning.
