AND THAT'S A WHITE SOX WINNER!!!

A solid effort by Shields would be a wonderful thing for this team's confidence right now. That was fun to watch.

He better. For his sake. 5 IP and no more than 3 ER.

Can't afford this 2 innings and out down by 6.

This should be his last chance at starting (quite frankly - I wouldn't even give him another after 3 and a 23+ ERA).

Love it! I'm a High Fidelity nerd, but just grabbed some spoonful on vinyl. Adding songs to wins could become a thing, helluva lot more fun than bemoaning losses.

Looks like the White Sox caught a break on the ball by Bogaerts.

The fans' hand makes contact, deflecting it almost straight down. Not 100% it would have cleared the red line, but that fan interference kept Ynoa and the Sox from losing a run (and preserved the one run lead).

Nice to see a huge call go the way of the Sox, normally in Fenway you'd think the Red Sox would prevail, well, just because.

Can we petition the league office to only have non-ALC opponents the rest of the season?

Exactly. The Sox abide by their A, B, Cs. That is, "Anybody But Central." Let's face it the proof is in. Teams outside the Central don't have time to scout us as well as the Central teams who know our every little weakness. The Sox actually are a wild card contender if you throw out Central games, which we can't do. No matter how many games we win outside of division, I'll not believe because those Central team will kick our ass again and again, but I do enjoy winning and 3 in a row over Boston is nice.

I also insist its the baseball gods slapping those smug Red Sox announcers in the face. Every time I've tuned in they've been mocking the White Sox. The baseball gods are saying, 'Shut up and quit being such homers and talk about the game, don't just mock Shields and Ventura and Putnam and Robertson et. all."

Good job Ventura handling the pen last night. Used the experienced guys for the high leverage, but earlier, innings. Used the rookie to pitch a clean, but later inning. And that last pitch from Ynoa, which had become a leverage spot, was a bullseye square to his target.

Nice to have a winning streak, on the road no less.

Don't feel real good about it getting to 4 days, not with the right handed version of Jim Parque on the mound today.

Someone on the Red Sox will have 3-4 homers today?

At the rate he's going, Shields can ONLY give up the first two....unless he somehow manages to shut down the rest of that line-up.

I mean we're due for a good shields outing aren't we? If he sucks again, I expect a DL trip

White Sox bullpen has thrown 9 scoreless innings in 3 wins at Fenway. White Sox outscored Red Sox 8-3 in 6th inning or later. Finale today.

signs of life. I'll take it. At the end of the day and season this is probably a .500 club. At least try and make it an interesting Sep.
