  1. QUOTE(The Critic @ Jan 9, 2006 -> 06:42 AM) I must say, though, that I've never heard one team-based song I've liked. I don't like that 50's GoGo Sox song, the Super Bowl Shuffle made me :puke , and I don't even like Go Cubs Go!!!! The Bears and Blackhawks have pretty cool fight songs.

  3. Is it my imagination or have the people in this thread given up on resigning Konerko? Because I'd still bet on him staying here.

    1-0

I remember it well. I came home early from work bought two Arrogant Bastard Ales and some hot dogs on the way home and enjoyed the beginning of the best season ever. Last night when it was over, I went to the store and bought two more Arrogant Bastard Ales to celebrate. Absolutely beautiful!!!
  5. I watched six Bulls championships and one Bears championship. This is the best of the group. And, there will never again be one like this in my lifetime. THE CHICAGO WHITE SOX ARE THE WORLD CHAMPIONS!!!
  6. A woman I knew actually married Steve Smith, Journey's drummer when it mattered. I actually went backstage at a concert years ago with the band and Steve previewed the Frontiers album at our home before it was released. Kind of crazy but true. Before the insults start, I played guitar in a heavy metal band in high school and I was very briefly in a band with James Iha who went to the same high school as I did. I'm not normally one for name-dropping but what the hell... And, yes, Cain, Shon and other bandmates are very worthy of acclaim. They are fabulous musicians, whether you like their music or not. Shon played at Woodstock with Santana when he was 16 years old.
  7. I couldn't help but recognize the name on Chicagosports.com. Poor pathetic Cub fans almost make me feel bad for them.... not. 14. R. Oswalt is going to show the world how weak this White Stocking lineup really is. Submitted by: Linda S. 1:40 PM CDT, Oct 25, 2005
  8. Add this... What does Steinbrenner value most? Answer: post-season production. Steinbrenner's gonna break the bank on Paulie. I agreed with KW and Jerry in not giving Paulie $12 million per year before the season. Paulie had not earned that kind of cash yet. And, who'd a thought he'd do this? Now, having bet wrong their going to have to pay out. This one could easily require $15-$16 million over 5 years now. That's less than some of these MVP guys who haven't done crap in the post-season. If I were Paulie's agent that's what I'd be thinking. Call me crazy but Steinbrenner might offer Paulie $100 million over the length of a contract.

  10. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Sep 30, 2005 -> 07:46 AM) Can we buy those AL Central Champion shirts? www.grandstandsox.com
  11. I don't know how last night's game can't make you freakin' nuts. I am so sick and tired of our utter inability to get clutch hits. This team's offense just plain sucks. On the other hand, I'm not giving up. We are still in the lead and as long as that's the case I will be hanging in there and watching every minute of every game. Maybe that makes me a pathetic loser maybe it just makes me another sad White Sox fan.
  12. Having plunked down $49 to watch every game the rest of the way on Monday, I jumped up from my couch and screamed "Hell Yea!". God Bless Joe Crede!!!
  13. QUOTE(robinventura23 @ Sep 19, 2005 -> 01:40 PM) Pods, LF Iguchi, 2B Everett, DH PK, 1B AJ, C Dye, RF Rowand, CF Uribe, SS Crede, 3B Garcia, RHP. This ought to be the lineup everyday until we clinch. No more messing around...
  14. I paid $49 today to get the rest of the games in my home here in Colorado. I'm bucking up with the rest of you. This is no time to cut and run. We are going to win this thing!
  15. I normally find this obsessive ESPN bashing annoying but no more that was an absolute joke last night. I could not believe that they did not even mention our team's name. f*** ESPN!!! I'm tired of this s***.
  16. QUOTE(Texsox @ Aug 19, 2005 -> 10:24 AM) He is just what this country needs: Hammer Time Is it too soon to start campaigning? Please tell me you're kidding. The bugman would be worse than the horse's ass we have right now. I'm voting for Russ Feingold, US Senator from Wisconsin.
  17. Oh for the days when we didn't have the deal with the pressure of being 12 games in first place in the middle of August.
  18. Relax folks. The Angels have lost four in a row themselves. It's a long season and these things happen. KW cannot panic.
  19. It a sad day when such commentary is considered political This judge spoke of the most fundamental rights that exist in our society. God bless her!
  20. QUOTE(KevHead0881 @ Jul 28, 2005 -> 12:45 PM) Weekdays: 2-3 a night. Weekends: Anywhere between 5 and 10. During the school year: Alot. We must be related.
  21. QUOTE(JimH @ Jul 28, 2005 -> 12:26 PM) I have got the wife saying, "The Lantern sounds good, want to go there?" Good work. My wife a Colorado Native is also rooting for and watching the White Sox with me regularly. It's a beautiful thing.

    Beer Blasphemy

QUOTE(Spiff @ Jul 28, 2005 -> 10:56 AM) The only time I mix beer is for Car Bombs; a pint of Guinness, drop a shot of Jamison/Bailey's in there and drink it as fast as you can. I've tried this and it is good but not as good as Guinness on its own.

    Beer Blasphemy

QUOTE(professionalfan @ Jul 28, 2005 -> 11:02 AM) The only margaritas I like are my friends special blend with beer in them. Yum. A friend turned me on to this a couple years ago. Cheap beer, cheap tequila, and a frozen limeaid makes for one great margarita.
