The Marlins GM came from the Rays. In 2 years they were close to .500 in a tough division while Getz is celebrating 2 100 loss seasons. I like to nickname the Marlins as Reinsdorf South. Getz could play the blame game but last I heard he was a minor league director before being "promoted".

Kay is probably going to be the largest contract handed out this offseason. But I’m not going to praise acquisitions like Hill, Murphy, Pereira, Peters, and Kay. The other problem with the last rebuild is that they finally had a competitive team but went cheap in free agency and didn’t bolster the team with top tier free agents. The same thing is going to happen again unless Ishbia takes over the team in 2029 and spends money.
