  1. Past hour

  2. Not with my left arm in this bulky brace for six weeks.
  3. Sure, if we want to watch him walk most of them. I think Hagen this year would be a mistake, but I think he and Thorpe are Getz’s planned replacements.
  4. You know you are a White Sox fan and used to losing when you care more about @Lip Man 1’s surgery than a horrible Sox loss. And I’m being serious.
  5. Wonder if we see Hagen, as Guardians have a ton of lefties.
  6. We should have Newcomb, Hicks, and Hudson tomorrow. I think we need to bring someone up though because I don't think we have anyone else to throw tomorrow
  7. Ron wanted to trade him as recent as like a week ago. But also kind of funny that people are tarred and feathered for thinking of moves that could be made in like spring training looking bad now when Getz has literally made moves where the player he ended up giving up was significantly better than what he got back. And yet, doesn’t get criticized for it. I say this as someone who has really liked what he’s done with front office and some small moves.
  8. Glad you are back. I posted in your going away thread but I will message you directly with some questions.
  9. I'm pretty sure the idea was to bring in a veteran starting pitcher that would go longer than Fedde.....Castillo needs to be better. Walking a weak 8th place hitter when you have a 4-0 lead is gross.
  10. Typing this with one finger on my right hand after surgery today. Brutal loss snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. 8th game this year where the Sox had a lead in the 7th inning or later and lost the game. Castillo didn't look great but the very worst part is they blew through the bullpen and lost the game anyway...with Cleveland coming to town after an earlier game while the Sox won't get home until very early in the morning. Just brutal.
  11. I remember when folks started planning Meidroth trades after Ant hit 1 HR in spring, because they were convinced Chase could never have 10+ HR pop
  12. Even better. Numbers play even better than
  13. “Afraid”. Like our grades matter. Continuing to be fucking hilarious. The only one keeping score in this imaginary scorebook lol
  14. Think of Colson as an NBA player that can get really hot in a game or be a total brick. He can put a team on his back a handful of times each month, but when it’s going bad…it’s very bad
  15. We were talking about the 1 Castillo game with the Sox. If you want to think that meaningful for how the rest of his starts go that's fine But at least you're not jumping for joy about it when you were too afraid to grade the trade deadline acquisitions like someone else is doing.
  16. He'll hit a cold stretch a couple months into his MLB career and there will be a vocal SoxTalk contingent clamoring to sell high before the league realizes he's a bust. Heck, they might not even wait until then. Could start after a 1-11 run in AA.
  17. Nah, if the Sox miss out on the playoffs, I’ll still get to watch my son play college football and go fishing with him. It’s nice to have a life outside of the White Sox. I suggest you look into it, Ron Willie.
  18. Did anyone think Chase would have 10 homeruns by now?
  19. Yeah, I think he’ll be a low average, high power guy who’s defense and numbers can definitely stick at 3B if that’s where he moves. But hopefully more like 5/6 spot.
  20. That’s the Dansby comparison that most have made for him. People on this site need to stop thinking there are a lot of .300 hitters still. Colson can be a strong contributor at .216. Hell, Vargas has had a great year and is below .240 now.
  21. Sometimes that also have to do with others in the lineup. Vargas and Mune not doing well either.
  22. Not really sure why both can’t be true. He’s been dog s%*# for weeks and had a good game today. Hopefully he’s coming out of his funk
