Good news, Chicago is going to do something to Northernly Island

Bad news, it's going to open 4 years late and cost 3x it's original projection.

 

Tailgated there for the Bears game this past Sunday and it has by far the coolest view of the city and the stadium. It is like you are out in the middle of the lake.

A large number of people have been pushing for the re-opening of Meigs Field there, with Daley leaving. I think that would be an excellent idea. But, the Park District is still under Daley, so of course they aren't even acknowledging the possibility.

I'm half way through my senior year with another semester after this one. Man, I really wish I was a sophomore in college again. Probably the best year of my life.

I wish I was you. I get the "privilege" of graduating in 2 weeks. Exciting - yes; looking forward to it - dear God no.

So to add to the fun cop stories that people have been sharing, last night I was the DD and I get pulled over on the way home. The cop smells the booze on my friends, makes me step out of the car and take the field sobriety test which I obviously pass. He runs my license and what not and when he comes back to my car he asks me "You're probably wondering why I pulled you over now" I told him I was and he goes "It's because when you passed me on Lake Cook, you gave me The Look," I literally had to hold in my laughter when he told me that. Fantastic.

Grand Valley State just won it's 2nd straight Women's Soccer national championship and earlier today the Women's Cross Country team also won it's 1st ever national title. The other day, the Women's volleyball team lost in the Elite Eight. Glad they picked up the slack since the football team lost in the 2nd round of the playoffs. Probably going to win our 8th straight Director's Cup.

I'm studying on a weekend night for only the 2nd time ever. I hate final exams...

I usually do homework on Sunday nights... or Sunday throughout the day to be correct. If I do any work Friday or Saturday nights it's because I've really got a s*** load of things I have to do. Happens once or twice a semester. 2nd time ever for you?... you're lucky.

I haven't been in probably 10 years. I used to love it... That's really a great idea. I think I may try to see if some of my buddies want to do that.

So, I took the day off of work to get some things done around my townhome. I was upstairs when I heard a ratting noise. I coudnt tell what it was, but it got my cat's attention. Then I noticed the pictures on our stairway wall were vibrating... vibrating rhythmically. the whole wall was shaking. I put my ear to the wall just to be sure... yep! grunts and moans. they were having a really great time by the sound of it.
