The sky in Arizona is notoriously hard to judge fly balls against. And the no-hitter wasn't an "almost" no hitter. That's petty of the score keeper to rule a clear hit as an error to keep the "no hitter" going. Jonathan Cannon seems to have thrown a nice 2 innings. Each team had 3 walks and 8 strikeouts. I'd call that a draw.

Of course it is. Bellinger looked totally cooked for 2 whole seasons. Even the kings of all baseball evaluation, The Dodgers, non-tendered him. The Cubs signed him for a cheap, one-year, show me contract, and here he is. Bellinger's having a hard time cashing in on his resurgence.

I would think they would play around with DeJong and Lopez out of position before they move Monty off of short.

Aside from the $1.5 million payroll, I think the difference is negligible. DeJong is probably the more consistent defensive shortstop, right? Rosario's a little better with the bat.

Yeah, I'm pretty excited about Fedde. He was as high as the #52 Baseball America prospect, pre-2017, so it's not like he's a schlub who learned the knuckleball, or something.

I could see this team being at 48-60 by the trade deadline, if Cease doesn't get traded in spring training. If they trade Cease, Soroka, anybody from the bullpen who can fog a mirror, I could then see them crashing, burning, and finishing with about 68 wins.

He went by the 8 worst teams in baseball twice, now, without a flyer. He must not be that well regarded.
