Sox Claim Brandon Eisert, Designate Steven Wilson, Wilson clears waivers
I'm retired, so you've already gotten your side of the bargain. How about if I give up Mayonnaise every other Tuesday? You want people fired if something out of their control goes wrong. Why is that fair? I don't want anybody fired unfairly.

Soroka was very cheap. So was Shuster. They both turned out to be fine bullpen arms. Shewmake made the minimum. Gowens was in A-ball. Lopez made about the same as Adam Frazier and outperformed him. $4M is about the going rate for that. The Cease deal looks like garbage to somebody wearing garbage-colored glasses. Thorpe made all the Southern League hitters his bitches. He had, like, 2 bad outings out of 9 in the bigs. I guess it's fun to pretend that a pitcher who did really well did really bad. Stokes the narrative. Half the pitchers in baseball have control issues. And Getz just "traded" Wilson for Eisert. I've admitted that the Fedde trade was a player light, and that Getz was hoodwinked. Looks like Vargas was compromised. Nobody was trading top 100 prospects at that deadline. Getz tried too hard to make it happen. If you would rather have 18-year-olds than competent bullpen arms, then you don't get to wail on about 121 losses. You get to blow kisses at the sky and thank God for giving you what you wanted all along.

Bleacher Report dings them because the Crochet trade didn't bring back major leaguers. Disqualified. The CBS list docks them for not pursuing a disastrous trade of Luis Robert in a clearly dubious market. That's silly. So you posted links to 2 C grades that explain why they were being unreasonably harsh, and their reasons are nonsensical.

I'll be a little let down. It has to be an actual failure. Not having a slightly uncomfortable strikeout rate in his first year in the bigs, but he hits .052 in 500 PAs, and gets moved off of SS within days, he's so bad.

You're blaming the pitching coaches right now, so I guess you consider yourself a big nobody. The Eloy, Banks, Grossman and DeJong trades were fine. The Bummer trade was okay. The Fedde trade was about a prospect short. Jury's still out on Vargas. The Cease deal was fine. Nothing to have a parade over, but it's on the Sox to develop those guys. The Booser and Gilbert trades are interesting. Trading from a glut of pitching to back up the bullpen. If you're considering deals like Matt Thompson for Bailey Horn to be an unimaginable nightmare, I can't imagine how easy and carefree your life must be for you to engage in such silly hyperbole.

It's a rebuild. I thought win-loss records didn't matter in a rebuild.

Can you show us a copy of this contract you signed with MLB where they guarantee that every single prospect that comes through our system will become a hall-of-famer? No, how about this? If Colson Montgomery is a reasonably good first year major leaguer when he eventually is promoted, you quit your full time job, quit being a moderator here, and go walk up and down Michigan avenue wearing a placard saying you're a failure? That seems a lot more fair.

It's warranted. Why are you giving them a pass? Do you work for them?

I see publications online giving him a solid B for the Crochet trade and the signings he's made. The rest of the world doesn't live in "I hate Chris Getz" land. They actually make objecting observations.

The Cease deal made the White Sox better. And so will this Eisert claim. I'm not sure why you're rooting for a failure so that Chris Getz can be fired.

Why, does Hahn sneak into Montgomery's gym and coach him at night, even though he's no longer with the organization? I believe that Chris Getz developed Colson Montgomery. It was good of Hahn to hire Mike Shirley. No, it's like you're talking to somebody who isn't trying to be your little internet buddy and agree with all the goofiness you're spewing right now. You've yet to list out a failure I'm supposed to blame Getz for. Bone spurs in Thorpe's elbow? Are you saying Getz chloroformed him, and had a secret operation to put those in his arm? That's silly. Don't say that anymore.

What's really funny is that half of the Dodgers' pitching staff are going to be Dave Draveckys walking around the hospital this season. We act like it's so great the Dodgers spend so much money, but they have to, it's like the Dodgers have a Soylent Green machine in their clubhouse, grinding up the arms of every pitcher they catch. The White Sox have one guy who they're going to be prudent and take it slow with, and you all act like the Sox are worse. The WHO should issue a warning against the Dodgers.

And they just basically traded Wilson for Eisert. If they traded Thorpe to the Mets for Juan Soto and money, would you consider that a failure? Would you complain that they shouldn't have obtained Thorpe if they were just going to trade him, again?

How is it a failure if Thorpe needs TJS? Hey, somebody just had a heart attack in Italy and died. Boy, are you a failure, Balta. Hey, somebody was just in a car crash in Russia. Stop failing, Balta. Yeah, I would say that if all 4 players brought back in the Cease trade all collapsed and became miserable failures, then yes, that trade could be called a bad trade in retrospect. It doesn't look that way, now. It looks like your desperate for something to feed your narrative. Chris Getz just had a great off-season, and the detractors are getting nervous. "OMG, what if his overhaul works?!?!? Quick, start complaining about John Brebbia!!" All y'all are trying so hard to get roller skates on those goal posts for when the Sox get 20 wins better than last year. I can't wait when the Sox get up over .500 and start looking good, and all you guys will announce that the Sox must win at least 2 World Series Championships, or else that dynasty was a failure. LMAO!!

And you're a moderator for a message board for that team. Must be lonely. Need a hug? You seem to be obsessed with the word "failure" tonight. You bet the house on the Chiefs? If the Sox traded Colson Montgomery to another team, you all would collapse onto the floor and cry about what a draft and development failure it was for Chris Getz. If it turned out that the receiving team couldn't develop him further, you would all declare that that's an even more damning failure for Chris Getz. If Montgomery thrived, it would be a bigger failure, still. LOL. Weird that 29 other teams are perfect and do everything perfectly. Maybe root for one of them? It's already been explained to you that nobody with a brain is considering the Cease trade to be a failure.
-
Sox Claim Brandon Eisert, Designate Steven Wilson, Wilson clears waivers
Semantics. They thought Eisert was better than Wilson. Every organization has around 200 players in their system. It's pretty extreme to declare a "failure" every time a team moves on from a player or gets into a roster squeeze.

Sox Claim Brandon Eisert, Designate Steven Wilson, Wilson clears waivers
What failure are they obviously ignoring? Maybe instead of posting, you should be in the parking lot outside of their Arizona offices, honking your horn to get them to come down and hear this pressing information. Thorpe did, pretty much, the opposite of fail, last year. So, yeah, I blame the White Sox development for that. Why do the Padres get no blame? If all 4 prospects suck, maybe we should all take a field trip to some Padres forum to tell their fans how concerned they should all be about their own development.

Well, they have a pitching lab, and two great pitching minds in Banny and Katz. Good thing baseball isn't Running Man, and pitchers have to become hall-of-famers in 7 games, or else they're out the door.

The 2nd time he faced them, but the 1st while injured. The more you guys tell these campfire ghost stories, the more confident I am that Thorpe will be fine.

So wait. Now the Mariners and Tigers are bad? Maybe their stats are bad because they went up against a master at creating weak contact, and he ruined them. You're welcome for the wisdom.

Drew Thorpe induces weak contact, thus, low BABIP. He's a rare oyster, that's for sure. It's fun watching people convincing themselves that bumblebees can't fly.

Gavin Sheets to Padres, India Times not a reliable source
Denver can hold onto their sports teams. San Diego already lost their football team. A FOOTBALL TEAM!! What's going to happen when the Padres are including deVries in a package so somebody will take on Bogaerts' contract? Oakland Padres? I'd be very worried. And depressed.

Rockies ownership isn't all suing each other, and accusing each other of sabatoge. Yes, the Padres ownership, right now, is probably the most dysfunctional. I laugh too, because to be a Padre fan now means to live in constant humiliation. Just waiting for the inevitable Cease trade, like waiting to die. LOL. I'd be very concerned. And depressed.
