Ok the Sox might have something in Montgomery.

Hopefully Mead just needed a change of scenery. He has shown he can hit. Let him have a good run of playing time this last two months and see what he is or isn't. Also can we please put Montgomery at one position and leave him there. Let him have to worry about one thing right now and that is hitting the baseball.

Teel looks like he is 15.

Mead will be up sooner than later. He has nothing to prove in AAA. Sox need to give him the rest of this season to show if he can be an everyday big leaguer or not.

You know for all the bitching and moaning about Getz and Venable, they have quietly gone about fielding a competitive team.

I'm perfectly ok with keeping him. Sounds like the Sox asked a lot for him and nobody said yes. He now has 2 months to prove he is worth keeping.

Is it a feasible plan to rotate Teel and Quero between catcher and DH? This would also cut down on the wear and tear for both of them not having to catch fulltime. Also i think Vargas is going to turn out to be a solid player. What position is he best suited for.

I really really like Quero.

What is his best position moving forward? He has looked good at ss and 3rd. I agree he looks the part. Time will tell. The Sox are more than due for a prospect to actually pan out.

Do the Sox have any OF prospects to get legitimately excited about?

Teel looks like he is 15. He is listed at 6'0" 210 but no way he is that big. I like Quero a lot more behind the plate.

Most fans the last two nights have showed up more for the fireworks show after the game which I have heard is pretty impressive.

2 games against the Rockies I know but Montgomery does look the part so far.

Nothing has come easy for Montgomery since turning pro. Sometimes that turns out to be a Godsend.

Please Baseball Gods let Montgomery and Baldwin hit consistently up here because they both otherwise look like they could be players.

Here I am gonna try to watch 2 complete Sox games in a row.

First Sox game I have watched start to finish in a long time. I really hope Montgomery can hit consistently because a combo of him and Meidroth could be special. I love Quero and Teel. They say Championship teams are strong up the middle and they have a nice start. Need to find a CF with some pop in his bat. Need to find a couple more position players who can hit with power. Sounds like they have a few really good arms down in the minors that can be added to the few already up here. Hopefully Ishbia will start infusing money in to the organization sooner than later and they can grab a couple FA's and start getting competitive in a weak Central Division. All in all I feel a little more positive regarding the Sox future than I did going in to the season.

You move Houser if you can get at least a couple top prospects, preferably OF prospects with power. I don't know if there are any OF prospects in the Sox system that are close to making the big leagues.

Making that play definitely will help his confidence and that is exactly what he needs.

And I thought this team was an utter embarrassment last year. Sell the fing team Jerry. You have a buyer just do it already. The only chance this franchise has is a huge influx of cash and an owner willing to spend it like the Dodgers.

Has Sosa turned a corner? Would be great to actually have someone live up to expectation.
