7/4 Independence Day Porta Potty Bowl: Sox at Rox 7:10 CDT
First Sox game I have watched start to finish in a long time. I really hope Montgomery can hit consistently because a combo of him and Meidroth could be special. I love Quero and Teel. They say Championship teams are strong up the middle and they have a nice start. Need to find a CF with some pop in his bat. Need to find a couple more position players who can hit with power. Sounds like they have a few really good arms down in the minors that can be added to the few already up here. Hopefully Ishbia will start infusing money in to the organization sooner than later and they can grab a couple FA's and start getting competitive in a weak Central Division. All in all I feel a little more positive regarding the Sox future than I did going in to the season.

You move Houser if you can get at least a couple top prospects, preferably OF prospects with power. I don't know if there are any OF prospects in the Sox system that are close to making the big leagues.

Making that play definitely will help his confidence and that is exactly what he needs.

7/2 L Thread @ Dodgers
Absolutely fitting he gets #3000 against this pathetic team. Now the topping on the cake is to blow the game as well.

Gamethread?
Were there even 5000 in attendance today? JR has effectively destroyed this organization.

4/5 Game Thread Sox @ Tigers 1200 pm
And I thought this team was an utter embarrassment last year. Sell the fing team Jerry. You have a buyer just do it already. The only chance this franchise has is a huge influx of cash and an owner willing to spend it like the Dodgers.

Has Sosa turned a corner? Would be great to actually have someone live up to expectation.

Ishbia increasing minority stake in Sox
Ishbia is not a wait around and wait kind of guy. He has always wanted to own a baseball team. He had every intent on purchasing the Twins but JR approached him with a deal to purchase the Sox and he changed course and took it. He lives and works in Chicago. I predict he will be the new White Sox owner much sooner than later.

Yea I can't believe how big he is. You all think he stays at short?

Ishbia increasing minority stake in Sox
I'm very familiar with the Ishbia's as I have been a supporter and follower of the Michigan State Basketball program for many years. As you know Justin's brother Matt played basketball at MSU and has been a huge financial supporter of MSU. I know Justin has always wanted to own a major league baseball team. He definately has the financial resources to do it. This would be hugely positive news if he was to become the majority owner. Unlike JR he would do whatever to field a championship team.

Venable named new Sox Manager-per Merkin
Maybe he took the job knowing that JR is planning on selling the team to a billionaire media mogul who will outspend every current owner to build a winning team.

Venable named new Sox Manager-per Merkin
On paper this seems like a good hire. But as we all know everything comes down to how much power in decision making JR is going to give him. At the very least he should know what a winning team and organization is supposed to look like. Also he is under 70 yrs old so that's a plus as well.

Jerry Reinsdorf open to selling the White Sox per Britt Ghiroli
The other owners are not going to agree to the Sox being moved. Chicago is the 3rd largest market in the Country and will never be without an AL team.

july 29 the sox are playing "baseball" against kc
What an absolute clown show this organization is from top to bottom.

Fedde/Pham/$ to STL, Kopech to LAD, Miguel Vargas + prospects to Sox
I agree. The Sox have to start building a team. You have to start getting position players that are major league ready or very close to it. These 19 year olds are 3 or 4 years away and that's even if they amount to anything. If your going to trade off the few assets you have you have to be getting some really good pieces back. To me this just looks like JR dumping salary to increase the bottom line. The White Sox are not his passion that he is dedicated to making a winning ballclub. They are just an investment.

Getz was not qualified to be a GM. We all knew that. Now we get to see exactly why.

7/26 Sox vs. Seamen 7:10PM
I'm way past being miserable when it comes to this team. Now I just don't care anymore. I know that nothing will change until JR sells the team. The entire organization needs a complete overhaul and that will only happen with new ownership.
-
7/26 Sox vs. Seamen 7:10PM
No they do not. JR could care less what the teams record is. His only goal is to get the most return for him and his heirs when the team is finally sold. The teams worth increases no matter what their record is. He could care less what fans think.

Sox at Guards Jo Noah was right about Cleveland game thread 7/2
Can't wait to hear Grifol make excuses for Robert not throwing.

6/6 - Celebrity Battle of the Soxes - Red v. White 7:10
Congrats JR. You will be leaving a crap load of money to your family but you will also have the legacy of being one of the worst owners in MLB history.

I want to say this team has quit but they would have had to start in order to quit.

6/5 Sux @ Flubs 7:05PM CT
Can you imagine what a circus of dysfunction that clubhouse must be. Why does the media even bother asking the players or Grifol any questions at all at this point. The one needing to answer questions is JR but he is hiding away somewhere counting his money and laughing at the few fans this team has left for coming to the ballpark and wasting their hard earned money on this crap product.
-
6/5 Sux @ Flubs 7:05PM CT
All Sox fans need to understand that JR doesn't care in the least what this team does on the field. To him the Sox are nothing but an investment. An investment that gains value every year no matter what the results are on the field. He cares about keeping costs as low as possible so that increase in value every year is at its max. He is the absolute worst type of professional sports owner. The quicker you understand that the less you can invest emotionally or financially in this team. The White Sox are the laughing stock of MLB this year. They may very well lose 120 games. As long as JR is the one calling all the shots It doesn't matter who the GM is or the Manager is or who the players are.

5/25 Sox vs. Orioles, 1:10 pm
The Sox have been a gold mine when live betting against them with the lead.
