  1. Oof. That's so childish. That's like people who take pride for blocking pro Biden / pro Trump followers. It's a managerial hire, for baseball. Entertainment. Let's get a grip on life here.
  2. This is exactly what I meant by delusional.
  3. It's unnecessary fear and folks just looking to drown in a cup of water. Tony LaRussa is not the main reason the White Sox lost this past season. Until we get a grip on that fact as Sox fans, we'll just continue to keep being delusional and not pointing the finger where it belongs. a) The players b) Health c) Rich Hahn. LaRussa comes in right behind that group. And the next manager hire will fall in that exact same place in relevance for White Sox success.
  4. I can guarantee to you that regardless of any manager hire, there will be at least a dozen teams bigger laughingstocks over the Sox.
  5. Lol. A clown suit would really make the point.
  6. Please. That's so childish. Reinsdorf, LaRussa, or any front office hire or manager would not keep me from enjoying my favorite summer pastime.
  7. Never been to opening day but let me waste the one time of a special moment and act like a ?.
  8. I've been here for a while now. Hahn didn't get the boot and there has been little blame going on towards the players. They are not deserving of a "learn on the job" manager, all to give them yet another crutch excuse to not get the job on the field done again. Washington or Ozzie, time to play ball. Honeymoon is over for Moncada, Robert, Eloy, Giolito and Co.
  9. Well, he allows a well known National Writer to do so, why would a fly on the wall accountant matter at this point?
  10. LOL. Why, because they're passing up on a coach who's interviewed for manager about a dozen times and passed up on each of those time?
  11. He, like most everyone else, knows nothing about Long or Espada. Both are roll of dice hires. Why people get so bent over guys they have no clue who they are as baseball managers is beyond comical to me.
  12. The silliness of this fanbase just amazes me every offseason.
  13. "I can't believe the Marlins are screwing this up and not giving the job to Espada. If it was rumored on Twitter by a handful of random bloggers that he is the top candidate, then the job was suppose to be his. These damn owners are always getting in the way. " It's all so silly at this point. As I mentioned earlier, it takes two to make a deal. Espada would need to be equally interested to take any job that's offered to him. The Astros are a huge player here.
  14. Well, who's to say the other teams already walking away from him didn't get that memo?
  15. Or how about Espada went to the Astros informing them of his offer and then was told it's his job in Houston as soon as Dusty hangs them up, maybe as early as this off-season? It takes two sides to make a deal. Espada isn't desperate to take this Sox job either. https://twitter.com/michaelschwab13/status/1583482262771077120?t=tU9xB_e-qRcQB4A_9XiAbg&s=19
  16. Save it. I turned away season tickets, I don't know how anyone would be willing to give these assholes anymore $$$ for a stupid fanfest. Play better baseball, that's all I'm asking for.
  17. OK, let's be real here. Ozzie Guillen is 100X a more qualified candidate right now than LaRussa ever was when they brought him back.
  18. I really hope they're not bringing Ozzie in for interview consideration as a "bench coach mentor." This would be so White Sox to handcuff a first time manager like this.
  19. Everyone says this until the snow is on the ground.
  20. One less piece off the board for Reinsdorf not to screw this up. Bochy, Girardi, and Washington were my least desirable candidates.
  21. Is it really? Miami And KC you're not going to be expected to win right away and can work your way in to mold the team your way with very good young prospects up and coming. Here, you inherit and over-paid roster full of injury prone players who are mentally programmed not to hustle to avoid injury. And they're going to expect you to win right away with the owner not doing much for you on the free agency side. This is definitely looking like another rebound job for a veteran manager trying to get back into the game.
  22. Depends on how much of his contract will be deferred.
  23. "Offshore Betting Favorite" I love how Sox twitter sucks this nonsense up. No one has any clue what's happening inside JR's brain right now.
