You haven't been following the Sox long enough. This exactly how it works. I'd be willing to bet out a Steak Dinner and Gibson's that outside of a miracle trade or injury, Keuchel will be in that starting rotation to start the season. Again, I don't want that. But I'm also realistic.

A floor helps the mid level guys a lot more than pushing the CBT a weak $10 million annually. A team will much rather use that extra $10 million to blow out the Market on A Mike Trout type guy than for veteran fillers.
