Payne got franchised. That makes me a sad panda. Makes me wanna stay in the top 4 that much more after kinda being open to falling lower. They need an impact player on that DL. I like still like Hargreaves and the guy from Denver though.
-
Bears are hiring Luke Steckel from the Titans as part of the offensive line staff. Steckel interviewed for the Chargers OC job this year, so it sounds like a pretty good hire. Good to have a guy like that in house. If the offense goes off next year Getsy probably gets a head coach job.

I think my scenario would be trading back into the teens and taking JSN. Love the idea on paper, but man if he's not an impact guy it could spell the end of a lot of people.
-
Really good fit here with what they do. Woods/Mooney/Claypool/Kmet good enough though? Orrrrrr do they Barkley too? I really really wanna see them get the RBs more involved in the passing game.
-
Fields mentioned wanting JSN in the draft. Really hope they get creative and make it happen. Get 4 and 35 from Indy then trade up using future picks to make it happen. I like JSN a lot a lot. If he wasn't hurt last year I really think he'd be in the conversation at #4. Especially after the success Wilson and Olave had last year.

Mike Clevinger under investigation for domestic violence

She said she doesn't think teams are allowed. She didn't hear from the Padres either. She said she had multiple interviews with MLB, Friday is just the next interview. -
Yup. I would also sign Payne and Powers as well. CB isn't a huge need, but I love Ringo and couldn't pass on him at 54. Bears secondary could be one of the best in the NFL.

Call me crazy, but I want Juju. I think his "Bad reputation" is completely overblown. Claypool says he's the best teammate he's ever played with and I actually think they will be good for each other. Unlocking Claypools huge potential would be big. I think Diontae Johnson and Mooney are very comparable players. That Diontae/Juju/Claypool team went 12-4. I think Kmet is better than Ebron and Monty/Herbert are 10x better than Connors. Add in the mobility of Fields over an older Big Ben as well.

The Jazz are said to be sellers, for whatever reason. If the Bulls wanna be buyers, for whatever reason, I wonder what it'd take to get Mike Conley. He's a lot like Ball...just old.

Brown still scares me a bit. Idk how well a guy his size and lack of athleticism will age. That said, on a front loaded deal, I'm fine with that contract. Payne remains a top priority, but I would not be mad with Hargrave at all. It might actually be beneficial to bring in the guy with his type of experience in the NFL.
-
Hard to believe Kmet is only 23. I feel like he's been around forever.

In more ways than one potentially. Takes a QB away for teams needing a QB, adds another team needing a QB, and they might blow it up making Evans/Goodwin available. I'm hoping if the Bears do end up trading for a WR, they wait till after the draft or just send future assets. I really think this is the year to go all in. Put everything you can around Justin and if he doesn't make the necessary steps, then you got a draft next year loaded with QB talent. Gotta see what you really have with Justin first.
-
This is gonna be a blood bath. That Philly D is scary.
-
Good. He's the type of guy I have no problem overpaying for. Frontload the deal while you still have Justin on his rookie contract. Payne to me is someone the Bears can't let go anywhere else. I also don't think it takes Carter out of the picture. Anderson is obviously a stud but I do worry about him being undersized at the next level. I hope if he's the guy the Bears get a little more adventurous and play him out wide.
-
Lol in a perfect world the OC you draft is a stud right outta the gate(I like the Minnesota guy). Patrick is your backup and Whitehair is your backup OG/emergency center. I'd much rather see the guy they drafted from Illinois than Mustipher.
-
And then trade down to 4 for 4/35 and still get Carter. That'd just be ridiculous. 4- Carter 12- Best OT available 35- in this dream JSN slips 53- best DE available Top of the 3rd- best OC available Add Payne or Hargraves and Davenport in FA. DL becomes Davenport-Payne-Carter-53/Dom/Gipson Add in the OG Bmags wanted and let Cody battle with the rookie and Patrick. I think Mr. All Rookie team Braxton Jones deserves a spot at either LT or RT, figure it out with him and the 12th pick. All of a sudden the trenches go from a big time liability to a strength in 1 offseason.
-
Ironically he was moves to guard in October.
-
The deeper I dive into the arm length argument the more scared I get. Without diving too deep, I can't really find a good OT with arms shorter than 33".
-
I don't think the Cody Whitehair at center "Experiment" (as someone put it) should be over. PFF had him ranked as the 7th best center in the league from 2016-2018 and he was a pro bowler there in 2018 as well. I don't remember why they started moving him around the very next year. I'm totally down with Powers or an upgrade at LG and then drafting a center in the 3rd or 4th round and then having a competition between the rookie, Whitehair, and Patrick.
-
Releasing Cody? I'm not sure what to think of him at this point.
-
Is Last Chance U worth a watch on Netflix? "Tank" Dell looks like a really good WR prospect.
-
I actually like Breese a lot, but yeah, if they did that trade down with the Panthers(which I'd absolutely love), I would probably go Skowronski as well. There's some worry about arm length there, but I don't think it's an issue. Worst case scenario you have a dominant interior lineman. He can legit play all 5 positions. Hearing a lot of talk about this being a deep year for edge defenders. I wouldn't mind if they grabbed 2 of the 3 high end DTs in free agency and then doing a trade down like this for OL and grabbing an edge in round 2.
-
Here's a fun fact. Of the top 7 tacklers in the NFL 4 player were drafted in the 5th round or later. That Includes 1 7th rounder and 2 undrafted players. Sanborn, another undrafted player lead the league while he was out there.
-
Here's a little poll question... Let's say Indy doesn't want to give up 3 1st rounders, but they'll give you 2 and your choice of any player on their roster. Who would you take? A. DeForest Buckner B. Michael Pittman Jr. C. Quentin Nelson Would you take 2 of the above and #4? Buckner gets brought up a lot, but I'm not so sure I wouldn't choose Pittman over Buckner. Nelson would be really nice as well as you could either try and move Whitehair back inside or just move on.
