Major growth indeed. The designed runs for Fields have to continue. It scares me long term, but dude has shown to be pretty tough. This defense has its blah moments, but overall, it has been pretty solid. I remember hearing a lot about the Packers defense, but the Bears have allowed less points so far(and only 2 less points on offense btw) Things could get interesting. The last wild card spot is wide open.

This is what they need to be. Fields isn't quite there yet as a passer, but as a rusher, I think Fields really should be playing like Lamar Jackson. Ride this rushing game with Fields, Monty, and Herbert. 2 straight 200+ yard rushing games.

With their kid. It's normal, and we are cordial but oof. The guys a real piece of work and it just makes for an uncomfortable experience. Me and her are big on Halloween and she made the deal so we didn't have to miss out. In return we just give him Christmas every year.

And that's not even mentioning the Packers who are 3-4. 2 of those wins are by a total of 5 points. Just shows you what a lack of talent at the WR position will do to even the best QBs. I almost want to get in on the WR trade market just to try and prevent the Packers from getting someone. On to the Bears, it looks like Mustipher will be benched and Patrick will go to OC. Hopefully this helps a ton.

Rams were said to be in on McCaffrey as well. I wonder if they'd be interested in Montgomery and what that might fetch? I'd be real happy with just a 3rd and a 4th.

Chase Claypool definitely gets a 1st rounder...right? Or no? Of all the guys said to be out there, he's the guy I'd most want. I don't wanna give up a first for Moore.

Agreed. I hate to give up picks, but with the FA market so bleak at WR I think giving up a pick outside of the 1st would be ideal. From there you can see how Justin does with another good weapon and see if Mooney can be better and looked at as your #2.

One thing I would really love to see happen is the Bears start using more 6 offensive linemen sets and let's see Kmet in the slot more. Kmet was 5th among TEs in slot snaps last year and he had a solid year. With the wide receivers and OL both sucking, why not put in an actual extra lineman and put Kmet out wide?

I didn't watch the game, but Coby only played 3 minutes and got hurt(looks like he wanted to go back in, but it's preseason.) Coby is who he is. As an early pick you would have liked more out of him, but he has a place in this league, IMO. He's a solid 4th guard on a good team.

I haven't really kept up with the rest of the league and wondered how Allen Robinson was doing...I know he's on a team with the best WR in the league, but wow. What happened there? Maybe his bad year wasn't because of bad QB play last year.

Ope. The site I was looking at still had him as a free agent. He signed his extension less than a month ago. That sucks. Really hoping Patrick is good. I think a fully healthy interior of Whitehair-Patrick-Jenkins can be gold enough. Mustipher is the clear weak link and he's gotta go and go quick. Where's Doug Kramer at when you need him?

At this point I'm done with Mustipher. It kinda baffles me that he's the 2nd worst rated center in the league. I can't imagine anyone playing worse. I'd try Schofield out. Dude had been good in the past and can't be any worse than Sam out there.

Evans would nice. The Kenny Golladay thing in New York kinda confuses me. Here's a guy who had back to back 1k yard seasons, he's a red zone threat, and now he's not even really playing for the Giants. I think I saw him out there getting some snaps but wtf? I heard the Giants are gonna have a hard time trading his contract, so why sign him in the first place? Bears seem like a likely destination should they choose to trade him.

Yeah, I agree there was some progress there and SoxAce post after yours kind of confirmed it. When the pocket was clean he looked solid, and would probably look even better with more talent to throw to. The thing that really sucks is next year's free agent market is not that great in terms of pass catchers. Juju and Jacoby Meyers are the 2 best WRs. I like Juju a bit but he's not a number 1 and unfortunately, at least thus far, I was way wrong on Mooney. I think the #1 pick should definitely be a WR at this point andddd they should sign Juju as well. Kmet is another guy who had just completely vanished and I'm not sure why. He was starting to look like a solid target for Fields. The free agent market has 2 other guys who have kinda disappeared as well in Shultz and Gesicki. Both guys looked like they would be good TEs but neither have 100 yards on the season. I may look into drafting a guy in the 2nd or 3rd. The OL is where things get interesting. Mustipher is clearly the weak link, but I think the hope is Lucas Patrick takes that center position when his hand heals and fixes that position. I think Jenkins is absolutely deserving of the RG position and Whitehair isn't an issue either assuming he can come back healthy. There's a part of me that wants to see Whitehair moved back to OC and the Bears bring in Quinton Nelson with Patrick just being a "High priced" backup all along the interior. Depth is always needed.... The big fish in FA is Orlando Brown Jr..... I don't think Braxton Jones has been bad, buttt idk if he's a franchise LT. If Brown hits the market I think the Bears have to pounce.

When do we start to think that Getsy isn't the guy? Dude came from Green Bay where Rodgers just kills it with shallow horizontal routes...I feel like you don't see that nearly enough here with Fields. Get the guy in a rhythm with slants and such, easy passes. With the run game and working the shallow cross, eventually things are gonna really open up over the top.

I should probably elaborate and say I'm looking for 4x stuff, so I'm wondering if there's a spot that carries more big and tall selections.

I think the Bears have to, at least momentarily, do away with RPOs and force Justin to throw the ball. Get him comfortable and confident throwing the ball first.

I hope Velus comes back soon and is good. Supposedly he's the guy Fields kinda hand picked as the guy he wants to throw the ball to. Not to spark back up this debate but the 3 guys ahead of him at USC that made him transfer are still looking pretty damn good(London, St. Brown, and Pittman Jr.)

On a positive note, Jayson Johnson has still not been targeted in 61 coverage snaps.

Man. I know it's just 2 weeks, but boy how wrong was I about Mooney and Kmet. These guys worked together all offseason and through 2 games they have 4 yards....combined.
