Looking at the summer league roster, as I do every year and foolishly get overhyped about something, Makur Maker is very mildly interesting. Maker, cousin of Thon, is the first top 15 recruit to ever commit to a HBCU. He only put up 11/6 at Howard, but you have to wonder if teams were just consistently doubling him or if the level of basketball hindered him somehow. From what little highlights I saw, he may have some upside.

How far are they from the tax? Had Galinari chose the Bulls, would that have put them over?

Miami could still build around Herro. It sounds like they're about to sign him to a deal that could get them close to a salary match. I guess it all depends on what Brooklyn thinks of PWill and if they want to go for it and take on DDR or Vuc.

TJ Warren should probably go somewhere where he will get minutes to show he's healthy, but if he's willing to come off the bench, that's my guy. Big time upside and options are dwindling. PG- Ball/Caruso/Ayo SG- Lavine/White/Ayo SF- DDR/Warren/DJJ PF- Williams/Warren/Bo Cruz C- Vuc/Drummond/Bradley Dalen kinda redshirts.

How far out can you even go with picks? This definitely sets the bar much higher than I think the bulls can go for KD. Unless KD just somehow straight up strong arms the Nets and the rest of the league and says he's only playing in Chicago. We already know he like the Sun's and Heat. Ayton and matbe even Herro trump what the Bulls can throw in as a main piece.

Beasley has shown more than anything the Bulls have to offer. Kessler was a 1st round draft pick anddd they gave up 4 additional 1st rounders.

I wanted him at the trade deadline last year, and I now want him again. Mike Mascula is out there. Metrics say his defense is good and he shot 42% from 3.

Lol. I feel like there's no shot, unless Brooklyn is high on Williams.

With the depth they have at the guard position, they gotta be looking at backup 3 and as far as shooting goes, Galinari is probably the best option. I don't know where they fit in a guard with all they already have.

How good of a judge is defensive rating? Specifically on Stat muse. Vuc actually ranked 9th among centers. Just a hair behind Clint Capella for 8th. I really think he can be a starter on title contender. The key to this team will always be Patrick Williams....Can he be a starting 4 on a title team? If not, I'm looking to upgrade him more than I am Vuc. Williams going through the Kobe off-season workout with DDR hopefully pays off.

I love everything I've read about Isaiah Hartenstien and I'm really hoping he's the big they bring in. Him and/or (preferably and) bring back Thadgic.

I'm really hoping DDR unlocks Williams. The game is there, he just needs to be more assertive. There's a picture on the interwebs of Dalen playing with KD which is mildly interesting. Idk what the circumstances were.

This is a very Patrick Williams-esque pick. He didn't put up the numbers but the talent is there. I don't hate it, but not necessarily where I woulda went. You can trade rookies in the NBA right?

Low Energy Premature trade winds…Jazz Chisholm 2B/Marlins
Last I checked he had an OPS over .900 vs. RHP as well.

Kessler can certainly block shots. He just broke the single season blocks record and had more blocked shots, by himself, than all but 13 schools in the country.....Gobert is more than just blocked shots though and I'm not sure how Kessler stacks up in other areas. I go back and forth on whether I want them to keep Vuc or not. He's not awful defensively and he's still got an offensive game that should be good enough to be your 3rd option. That said, I think Vuc is a fine option guarding centers......I'm not sure neither he nor Kessler can hang with the more athletic 4s in the league which can be issue if the go that route.

Trade deadline
Probably not.....unless they believe in Eloy.

Trade deadline
I've seen his name floated out there on the interwebs, but Miami isn't gonna trade Jazz Chisolm are they? I know Miami is perpetually rebuilding it feels like, but he's a 24 year old left handed 2nd baseman with power and speed. He owns a .900+ OPS vs RHP which the Sox could really use. The random website that floated out his name as a target suggested Eloy for Jazz. I think it'd definitely have to be Eloy+, but I'd make that trade. I'm not ready to give up on Moncada, and Burger looks like a guy who should be the everyday DH. That means, until Abreu retires, Vaughn is I'm the outfield with Robert and Pollock.

What do we think about Walker Kessler? Big time rim protector, but his offensive game looks super blah, and he looks slow. Bulls have been linked to Gobert and Mitchell Robinson who are also limited offensively but offer big time rim protection.

A Guy The Sox Should Sign IMO
Yes, I definitely misspelled Pollock, I apologize for taking up 1/100th of your day. I wasn't trying to attack you or anything, it's just that you didn't address the post that should of ended this discussion. I can respect trying to think of ways to fix the team, but right now Cain isn't the answer.

A Guy The Sox Should Sign IMO
Greg won't address this. Pollack and Robert are everyday guys right now. Unless they bench Yoan, or play Burger at 2B, Burger needs to be the DH most days, which makes Vaughn your everyday LFer...until Eloy comes back and it makes the lineup crunch even tougher. There's simply no room for Cain right now.
