  1. I'd prefer they try and do something similar with the Bengals for Higgins if possible, but yes, I'd be down with this.
  2. Super fun game last night. The lack of rebounding was super frustrating though. Too often guys are just flat footed around the rim and that's another thing that has to change. If both Coby and AC are gonna be out for a bit, I kinda wanna see Carlik Jones get some run here. I believe it was Will Perdue who brought him up yesterday on the radio. He's a Lonzo-esque pass first point guard who can also score a bit.
  3. I'm kinda right there with you honestly. I think one of those guys makes a far bigger impact than adding multiple lesser players. The question for would be if they trade down and gather some 1st round picks, would they use those 1st round picks like Miami did and trade them for impact players? I really think this team is a lot closer than people think. The secondary could look really good if they can manage to add really disruptive players to the DL like Anderson and Payne. The offense as a whole starts to look better if you can add to the OL. They should be able to add a good center in the 2nd round and they should be able to get a good RT in free agency.
  4. Philly drafted a center 51st overall last year(Cam Jurgens) and he's gotten the Kelce "Seal of approval." It's still possible they bring Kelce back and let Jurgens sit another year, but Philly has 15 key guys set to hit free agency. In other news, both Conklin and Elgton Jenkins came off the board yesterday as both were resigned. That's a bit of a bummer. I still very much want to believe that Braxton Jones can be a guy, whether it be at left or right tackle, but after seeing how bad Leatherwood was last week, the Bears absolutely need another good tackle....maybe 2. Also. Super bummed I volunteered to work today not knowing that the game is today. I have it set up to record though....I drive for a living and typically listen to sports talk radio all day. Today I'm actually gonna have to listen to music!
  5. Sounds like Philly might move on from Kelce and I want him to be the Bears center next year. The guy absolutely looks like he's got a few more years in him. Him and Fields apparently talked after the game and he's a big fan of Fields. Sign him and draft a guy later to compete with Kramer as your center of the future.
  6. Eberflus brought up the need for a #1 WR(kind of) and it kinda got me wondering.....Would you roll the dice and trade down, perhaps twice, to the middle of the draft to pair Justin with his college teammate and one time top 5 projected Jaxon Smith-Njigba? I've done a few mocks where I trade down to 6 and then trade again down to 14 and picked up 2 1st round picks in next year's draft in the process. Too big of a gamble on JSN? Would you do take Johnston if he's still there instead?
  7. I believe the answer is yes...unless they go full blown Colts all of a sudden. Up 24-9 now. Good stuff!
  8. And his offensive line as well. I thought there had been strides made on the OL for the Bears, but they looked no Bueno again today. I had high hopes for Leatherwood after last week, but now I don't know what to think. I'm not quite sure how sound this logic is, but I want Elgton Jenkins in the off-season. That obviously makes sense, but this may not...Dude can literally play every position on the OL. So what happens if Jones comes back stronger and is your LT? Well, ya put Jenkins at RT... What if Leatherwood is fixed too? Well, you can save some money and cut Whitehair and throw him at LG...can't hit on a OC in the draft or free agency? He can play there too......I'm sure he's gonna get tackle money, but his versatility really makes it possible to put your best 5 out there.
  9. I've had some questions about Gordon, but he's looked really impressive today. Add a pass rush and the whole secondary looks better too. Though idk how Jaylon Johnson gets better. Dude is a stud.
  10. It's his neck. Also, Justin Fields is not a human being. As I type this, there's another INT......Philly looking ahead to dem boys?
  11. Vikings have had a horseshoe up their arse all year. How on earth do you have 11 wins but your point differential is only +2? Also, that elf at midfield for the Browns is a nice holiday touch....Wait...
  12. Idk if I'm late to the party, but I do not like this telecast. This is not a thing is it?
  13. They also came inches and a bobble away from beating Washington, a blown pass interference no call away from at least tying Miami, and very well could have beat Minnesota if not for ol what's his face. All 3 are playoff teams.
  14. The Lions scare me a lot more going forward than the Pack and Vikes. They are finishing the season really strong and they have 2 first and 2 2nd round picks next year...Including the Rams pick which should be pretty high. NFC North is gonna be veryyyyy interesting.
  15. Just watched an all 22 that focused in on Alex Leatherwood.....I'm not sure what took the Bears so long to get him on the field but man, he looked like a guy who would get drafted in the 1st round. He looks fixed. If he doesn't get every snap going forward it will be an absolute shame. If he keeps playing like he played against green Bay, he's a keeper.
  16. To me, I think a lot will have to do with what they're able to actually accomplish in free agency. They have a ton of money, but that doesn't necessarily mean they'll fill all the key positions. I think if they're able to have a really strong free agent period and they look to be an impact DLmen away, I think you just get your guy in Carter or Anderson.
  17. Cairo Santos is the Tank Commander. It is kinda wild just how many games they've been in with the lack of talent on this team. It makes competing next year less crazy to think about for team that's currently picking 2nd in the draft.
  18. Is Yoan the next Alex Rios? Every other year he seems to have a good year. He didn't have a great year in 2021, but I'll take a 117 OPS+. Obviously 2019 Yoan would be much more ideal.
  19. They still play each other so someone's gotta win. If the Bears lose out they're picking no lower than 3rd. They do need some help to stay at 2 though. Fields threw some really nice balls today and that's super encouraging. I really can't wait to see what this team looks like next year. If Poles plays his cards right there's no reason they can't be a playoff team. Fixing the trenches is gonna go a long way in fixing the team as a whole. Shoutout to the VERY depleted secondary today. I know Rodgers is banged up but the fact that they didn't get completly shredded is a huge plus and kinda shows that there is some depth there.
  20. It's becoming more and more clear. Dude plays with good vision, he takes all the right angles, he's making plays around the line of scrimmage. He's growing on me every week.
  21. The perfect script would be Fields having a breakout game with his arm, Rodgers being clearly outplayed, but Green Bay runs for a 3+ TDs and the Bears lose by a FG.
  22. There's a large part of me that wants the bears to beat Aaron Rodgers, but man that pick could be super juicy.
  23. I heard on the radio that Braxton Jones is PFFs 24th ranked OT(not just LT.) That's not bad for a rookie out of a small school. I still don't know what to really think of him and it bothers me. If he can just work on his strength training, the rest is there. Totally forgot he ran a sub 5 40 yard dash, which, for a 310 pound OT is very good. Arm length is there. He seems to be smart. Good run blocker. I think the stink of him being a 5th rounder might be clouding some judgements the other way.
  24. So, you don't think he's a good because he went undrafted? TJ Edwards is a guy I have my eyes on in free agency and he too was an undrafted linebacker. Right now Edward's is the 3rd best LB in the league according to PFF.
