Humorous takes from Royals' fans/upcoming series pitching match-ups
U mad, brah?

Madrigal.
People oozing over the "juggernaut" offense they believe we have yet Nick apparently has to be a home run hitter (basically in the 9 hole) otherwise he isn't worthy of being a #1 pick. Fucking bizarre.

Madrigal.
I believe this is possible. I also think it's a ridiculous, arbitrary assertion. Contact hitter who never strikes out, works the count and consistently hits over .300 (and apparently plays par defense and will likely improve) and we're gonna put arbitrary rules on what else he has to do to be "worthy" of being a first rounder? Oh, please. This is bordering on delusion, as if every 1st rounder or even the majority of them end up being stars.

Madrigal.
"Hope" often means nothing. Plenty of 1st rounders become nothing. Nick being what he appears to be would be a success, period.

The fuck is he gonna do there, be the bat boy?

I'm actually surprised the post count is that low. Just thinking of the Machado and TLR threads. Good Lord.

White Sox Winner! RIP Piranhas!
It's the best way to calculate your win expectancy. Sure, injuries happen but success is measured by beating good teams, not just winning by overcoming some boogeyman stigma like we have had with the Twins (similar to always seemingly getting our ass kicked on the west coast). The Twins haven't been good this year. Even despite our missing links, WE HAVE. I love that we swept the Twins but as contenders it's not really proof of anything by itself. We haven't really faced much real competition yet. So, you saying "absolutely" is wrong.

Does feel really good to get over that Twinkies hump, even if it is just for a series.

How are the White Sox leading the AL in runs per game?
Yeah, these stats, especially without Eloy and Robert and some time without Tim and a sub-par Grandal and Abreu seem pretty baffling. But then... there is Yermin. And the idea that suddenly after more than a decade of terrible plate approach that TLR (who has frankly been pretty clueless and behind the curve) is the one who has suddenly single-handedly changed the approach and fixed this club's offensive woes? Sorry, really hard to buy that.

5/11/21 -Crochet's First ML Win - White Sox 9 Minnesota 3
Seems they are playing well. Keep beating the teams in our division and get more wins vs. quality teams and that kind of momentum can be magic.

It's weird how people that can't even focus on one specific point, let alone respond to it, always mock the abilities of the person posing it to them. Literally does nothing but cheerlead and complain, then call someone else a complainer. Classic projection. No way to argue with someone like that.

A fair point; TLR has definitely cost us some runs IMO but I've still seen plenty of issues remain with RISP and bad baserunning. I acknowledge it is getting better, I'm just stating that many of us were very frustrated with this things to start the season and they will have to prove that these improvements will be consistent.

If you're not hard-core trolling here you have a serious attention problem. Things working out good (for like a week???) doesn't mean anyone did a good job. They still failed to spend money where it was sorely needed; in reality they only made 1 real acquisition this year and so far that acquisition hasn't exactly been super stellar. Aside from that, Hahn has been an awful GM who has made several terrible FA signings. "The Sox are winning (kinda) in the first month, therefore the FO did an incredible job." This is such an oblivious take it's staggering. Hahn and KW are not much of a contributer to the way this team plays. If the Sox miss the playoffs this year you can absolutely blame them for it.

"Excuse me while I lazily deflect every point you make, make a black and white general statement merely complaining about your analysis (but never offering an actual counterpoint... after I previously said all you do is whine and complain." You're about as oblivious a poster as exists on this forum. Just a mere cheerleader with no other function.
