  1. And trading DeGrom for a PTBNL as the headliner amongst other parts would set NYC into full blown meltdown mode. Not good optics for their FO if that was the case.
  2. A good friend of mine is an avid Baseball card collector/seller. He said that the Market for La Pantera is immense. People in the biz are buying him up expecting him to be the next Trout as far as value rise.
  3. that is WILD. and some smart GM is going to totally game a dumb GM.
  4. High. He still profiles as a TOR talent and has 5 years of control (6 with extra manipulation, which will be easy with a trade). He would be required in a deal for DeGrom.
  5. Researching more into this great idea, Gardner is awful this year. Yanks are not moving Tauchman
  6. There is a chance the draft pick requirement will be eliminated this offseason due to covid related concerns on value of players. At least that is the rumor that circulated for a while that QO structure could change. This offseason is gonna be really weird.
  7. All of this happened after Keuchel called them out. In hindsight that was probably the turning point of this rebuild. KEEP IT UP IN KC!
  8. Was just going to post this. I really like how Giolito sped up last night also. Watching Darvish pitch last weekend made me itchy.
  9. This team is possibly the most fun team I can ever remember watching. And the fun they are having is so obvious.
  10. he mentioned it about 5 different ways from the 6 to the 8, and then just started flat out calling it a no hitter, and the pirates were hitless. It was such a refreshing game call. He is really growing on me as an elite PbP guy.
  11. I like this thought process. But if it's me as GM...I am trading Vaughn for an elite starter and trying to win this season thru 2022 while they have everyone still under contract. 2023 is way too late for a polished college bat to be held back and having him start in 2022 at some point (after service time manipulation) would be at the very height of their championship run and probably not the best way to get him league comfortable.
  12. totally agree he gets no more than 9-10 mil a year. I was thinking 2 year would be 2/18 with a buyout and 3 year would be 3/24 with no buyout on the open market (Covid contracts are going to be smaller this offseason). Would he take less to stay with the Sox? 3/22 should absolutely fit into the Sox budget going forward.
  13. while anything is possible...Keuchel doesn't miss bats like Giolito does.
  14. That is the catch 22 here. You resign McCann...Vaughn is getting traded people. Simple as that. Eloy is moving to DH by 2023 at the very latest, and with Grandal, Abreu, McCann and Eloy all vying for 2 future positions, that just doesn't leave space for Vaughn. EE is gone after this season no matter what.
  15. nothing a little tape can't fix...and Robert gets 80% of all balls in the area anyways...Let's Get this short series sweep!
  16. I am inclined to this if the price is right and we can resign him based on him liking the team and the future. Helps this season where literally anything can happen, and if willing to sign secures the next couple seasons potentially. But if he is still sticking to 1 year only contracts, the price cant be too high. What do the reds need long term? A catching prospect?
  17. I LOVE that Benetti had no problem saying it was a no hitter the closer they got. I hate that superstitious crap that you cant acknowledge it.
  18. Haha. I fell asleep right as the 7th was starting. So indeed...9 outs! I am good and still gleaming over Gio.
  19. Drank a ton of whiskey and fell asleep in the 7th...but woke up and immediately went to mlb.tv to watch those last 9 outs. AMAZING
  20. Moments like this are why having mlb.tv is just worth it. What a performance, and I am starting to really think this team is becoming something special.
