I like them both as well, but Grandal is a very streaky hitter so when he hits a 460 foot homer you put him right back in. I really wish I knew what those asterisks said... I am sure it's something like so you can just keep being the most level headed guy posting here!

Grandal has a great game last night at the plate and also gets a near 8 inning shutout with Keuchel and you guys are still b****ing. I just don't get the animosity to the 2nd best catcher in the league.

Yeah, it would all depend on the third piece. Stiever, Vaughn or Thompson would have to be included...but rather not trade Vaughn.

If Reylo looks solid today, what about Dunning, ReyLo and a third piece for Clevinger? Honestly his teammates may not be open to him going back to team and he has two years left after this season of more expensive arbitration numbers. If Sox could somehow nab him without giving up Vaughn, this team is set for a really strong 3 year run and the future. Bauer or Stroman are the FA pieces you persue but Clevinger THIS season makes you contenders in this crazy landscape.

This game is important for 2 reasons. 1. If he comes in and is effective - do you go with him or Dunning for rest of season? 2. If he sucks, does he start his bullpen transition?

I think it's simple. Giolito, FA, Keuchel, Cease and Dunning is the starting rotation for 2021 and Kopech needs to ramp his arm up and he replaces either Cease or Dunning if they falter. Kopech can be on a bit of a pitch limitation and if he is blazing your Playoff rotation is Gio/FA/Keuchel/Kopech with Cease used as a Bullpen piece. Rodon is moving to Bullpen or traded and Lopez is 100% getting packaged with something else for a RF trade.

3/42??? I need some of that reefer man. In post covid times he gets 3/30 at absolute tops and 2/18 with a 8 million option is probably reality. I like McCann but this hero worship is out of control.
