Cease pitched a totally acceptable game. He gets a couple more pitch calls and it would only be 2 ER and that is more than you can ask for a national TV road game.

Kopech might and will be one of the 5 starters next season. Crochet may be worked in next season. They were not signing a multi-year contract with anyone with hopes of Cease improving and them being in the future... and should they have? Bauer was the only real option, and that wasn't happening.
