June 15, 20214 yr Time to get the best lefty/switch bat we can get that plays 2nd base well. Give up a decent (but not top) prospect if you have to. Worry later about whether the guy you get blocks Madrigal when he gets back.

June 15, 20214 yr Damn man his development was so exciting to watch. Three players coming into their own missing most of a season. So sad.

Robert, Eloy, Engel, Kopech and now Madrigal. That's a lot of DL time from important players. Shows how strong this team was at full force. I still think we will make a strong playoff run in spite of all this bad luck.

Can either move him to RF for 2022 or dangle him in a trade yourself in the offseason if you decide to go for power (which the team SHOULD have plenty of with everyone healthy). June 15, 20214 yr Two portions of his body with major surgeries now. I loved seeing his progress, but the lofty 3000 hit goal would really be something at this point.

June 15, 20214 yr Good players who get injured are just injured players. In football they just forget about you.

Any non-rental player good enough to block Madrigal is light years more expensive in prospect capital than the Sox could afford.

The Sox could use some more if you ask me.

June 15, 20214 yr I think we all suspected this. Sucks, but hopefully he'll heal and be ready for next season. I don't see how they Sox don't go out and fill this spot. Frazier or Escobar would be nice fits.
