  1. 1. Engel hasn't played a ton of cf since 2019. In 2020 he was well below average (sss) in cf. Last year he was even. Roberts route rates in cf have been better than engel every year. Of course they both catch more than they're supposed to. As I said, Engel is good. Robert is elite.
  2. Roberts reads and jumps are light years better than Engel. He gets to more Balls
  3. I'll argue all day he throws the slider too much now and it takes away from his sinker command, but honestly bummer has had some terrible luck for over a year now and I just think that'll revert sooner than later.
  4. Engel isn't as good defensively as Robert. Engel is a good defender, Robert is elite. Engel is really overrated by sox fans.
  5. Bummer will be the sox best reliever in 2022. Book it.
  6. Yeah, he faded to the ball instead of running to the spot. Looked like he misread it off the bat.
  7. He should have ran through that ball. Bad play by luis
  8. Guy is unreal, 6 ip, 1 hit, 68 pitches.
  9. I hate apple, never owned their devices or use their services. I get it.
  10. You don't have to. You literally just need an appleid
  11. I am not as anti steaming as some here but i also get its harder on some older folks. I have every one of these services because I share with others a bunch of accounts so my bill is like $80 total, half of what cable+ would cost previously, and get 5 times as much stuff This sci-fi sound between changing screens (in and out of replays) is hilarious.
  12. I'm a CY fan, sox never should have traded him. Like him on mlbtv. He's just not talking enough
  13. It could use some work, but will give them a break for being new still. Nothing as bad as espn and they been doing it for years.
  14. While calling him Mike trout, pretty funny.
  15. Again, it's very possible the budget does not allow for big multi-year commitments. Not sure why you are choosing to ignore that point.
  16. Think it was just his short arm action that had hitters caught off guard a bit. The change has lost similar velocity. I don't get why he's throwing the change so less often now; seems to have lost some faith in it. It's a nasty pitch, though. He definitely lost some spin with the sticky ban though, but last year we were talking like 20 RPM's which isn't all that meaningful. I still think he has the tools with the right sequencing to be a good reliever. Haven't lost faith.
  17. He's lost a tick off the fastball, and doesn't quite get it by people the same way up in the zone. Slider would be huge against righties though.
  18. If you give your GM a budget 1 year out, he's cheap. It prevents long term investments which is cheap. It forces the front offices hands to spend on short term options that might have more questions. Arguing Jerry isn't cheap when he's the owner of one of four teams in baseball that have never given a 9 figure contract is silly. You can be cheap while also spending money. My wife buys $500 of stuff from Marshalls because she gets more option for her money. Those items are still cheap.
  19. Tim and Robert the best 1-2 punch in the game; the rest of the guys don't even matter.
  20. Locked in. Good news is so many people are hurt, Tony won't be able to bench him for sheets tomorrow.
  21. Wouldn't call myself a hater, just said I wouldn't bet on him being good for three years. I hated kimbrel. Graveman I'm happy to see him look real good to start. I could become a big believer there.
