  1. Hopefully that poster ceases to exist shortly. Just a troll.
  2. Yes, I think we could dominate anyone in a 7 game series. They could also dominate us.
  3. How am I a hater? I'm one of the most optimistic in season fans here. Why would I be mad if the Sox won the WS? Are you Eric Sogards family member?
  4. A's have gone for it multiple times, Lester and etc trades
  5. Super teams are nonsense in baseball. 7 game series anyone can win. This isn't the nba
  6. Sorry caufield. I know as a die hard padres fam this one stings.
  7. Trea turner and scherzer, unreal. Sucks bein a sox fans during FA and trade deadlines
  8. Or he can express his opinion whenever he wants and tell you to kick rocks while doing so?
  9. Sogard puts those glasses on and that clubhouse starts thinking hes Einstein.
  10. They all fell for that doofus eric sogard and his dumb ass wife's anti vax classes. They're both very outspoken about the dangers of vaccines because they're both braindead.
  11. Yankees and astros making big moves. White Sox doing blah.
  12. lol I like Tepera. Don't still my Parkman cracks from last night, pal!
  13. I like Tepera, so don't take my post the wrong way. He's a solid mid-season grab and I trust him to be pretty solid. He's just had some luck to get his numbers this year, while he was a bit unlucky last year.
  14. LOL, escobar not my favorite player by any means; just my preferred power-first low OBP 2nd baseman since he has proven his power is legit. I have my doubts about Cesar's power being legit/sustainable, and if it's not he's not very good given his new approach.
  15. 11 walks in 11 innings at A+; those numbers you listed are at low A.
  16. Needed the Bullpen depth, so not bad. I predict many White Sox fans (mostly in-game thread fans) will not like Ryan Tepera though.
  17. The majority of posters seem to like the move, and the ones who don't (like me) are more upset at this being "the" move. Pilkington is meh but Cleveland does a heck of a job evaluating pitching which would be my only reservation with him. Weird for them to move a cheap regular too, imo.
  18. Not exactly how it works. I'm arguing his change in approach is not sustainable and when the fly balls stop going over the fence he'll be a replacement level player
  19. For what this team needs, I don't buy Hernandez power surge at all and he's done so while destroying his OBP. It's a disaster because it's the White Sox making a move just to make a move and settling for a guy. Escobar's track record of being this type of player is much longer. Hernandez has a few more balls not go over hte fence and he's trash.
  20. Yeah, I mentioned it improves the back end of their roster; that is indisputable. But I want to win a World Series and I wanted a player that could make an impact. I wanted a sure thing upgrade that is an exciting piece. I didn't want a guy who could feasibly get outplayed by Garcia in a smaller sample. If we wanted a power-first low-OBP 2nd baseman they should have gotten Escobar. It's just a disaster we didn't get Escobar if this was our direction.
  21. That's literally nothing in the world of defensive metrics. One full season is volatile and tough to draw any conclusions from let alone 200 innings
  22. The pop isn't sustainable either imo. If you wanted pop and a low obp should have gotten escobar.
  23. Because on a total package value basis this year they're similar players? One is on a 2.5 per 600 pace the other a 2.2 per 600 pace. In a sample of 70 games, we're talking about replacing just a guy with just another guy. Cesar has a 307 obp with a hr/fb rats 7% higher than his previous career high.
