  1. Yeah, and Giolito, Lynn and Keuchel is not that much worse at this point in time. They are absolutely worse, but they are capable of pitching to that level.
  2. Just for kicks because some people seem to think 2019 with Cole/Scherzer/Verlander/Stras is the norm. In 2018, of starters who made at least 3 starts in the post-season the lowest ERA's were as follows: 1. Wade Miley (1.23) 2. Jouhlys Chacin (1.46) 3. Rich Hill (2.16) Enough of the only elite electric arms win games in the playoffs.
  3. Jack thinks you need an experienced veteran to succeed in the playoffs, but not an experienced veteran like Keuchel because those kind sucks. If you don't have Gerrit Cole, you might as well just not show up apparently.
  4. Jack, you have had some of the worst takes I've ever read in the past few days. Keuchel has thrown 59 career post-season innings; he has a 3.47 ERA which is actually LOWER than his career ERA. So your theory that he just can't succeed in the playoffs only makes sense if you ignore the actual 60 INNINGS he's thrown. GIolito has been one of the 10 best starters in baseball in the last 1 + year, and amazingly enough they play with the same ball and rules in the playoffs! It's almost like being able to control your emotions to throw something like a no-hitter. These are just so terrible.
  5. Houston used a 4th starter once last post season.
  6. How do the White Sox not have the pitching with Lynn? You need three starters in the playoff. Giolito/Keuchel/Lynn isn't good enough for you? And how are they not quite there? It's baseball and they're in the playoffs as of today. Anyone in the playoffs can win it all.
  7. Who is the best fastball hitting team in the big leagues? The Royals? lol
  8. Yup and still made it interesting despite playing as bad as they can.
  9. no. He cannot be traded. No drafted player can be traded until after the WS.
  10. another dunce. Welcome to the dunce party gus - a guy who doesn't understand a starters role vs a high lev reliever.
  11. See you mock me tony, but there's no development of a high leverage reliever. Not my fault you cant seperste a young starter building upsl strength and innings from a high leverage releiver.
  12. Why the hell was burdi still in the game.
  13. EE was practically already signed when the Sox were tied to him; his father had just passed an delayed things. Keuchel was just the best starter left after they missed out on Wheeler but you are correct. What I find funny is all the "twitter sources" that were scared of "ruining things" in the past and wouldn't say anything are chirping non-stop, and they're talking about things that didn't happen that they knew about yada yada. Why? Because the Sox are good and it gets attention again.
  14. If there's a rumor about the Sox getting a guy the Sox probably aren't getting them. That's what the past few years have taught me.
  15. Something you can't understate is that the success of the Sox young players enhances the trade value of the Sox other young players. A proven track record of development and growth adds some value to your guys; however small that may be
  16. The Orioles front office as constructed today is very intelligent. Why do you give Bundy credit for improving with analytics but you ignore Lynn's actual proven track record of improving with analytics? It's so bizarre.
