Ozzie isn't very good on the Pre/Post-Game
Had nothing to do with Jerry- this wAS a shakeup from the top of NBC corporate. They cut a ton of people nation wide from their sports broadcasting.

Bummer to 10 Day IL, Lail DFA, Burdi Up
if it's a bicep strain it might as well have been a super intense cramp ha; good news all around if it is just a bicep strain.

Leadoff Man going forward - TA or Robert?
In the modern game, there may be nothing more overrated about leading off than working counts. Guys just don't throw their entire arsenal the first time through the order anymore so you're only seeing the same 2ish pitches over and over again. OBP and run scoring skills are really all that matter at this point in time. If TA can maintain a high BA which puts his OBP north of 350 he's a very good option to lead off. Moncada is going to work counts in the 2 hole.

Sox might not be aggressive in trading
No one should be aggressive this year; would be idiotic.

Leadoff Man going forward - TA or Robert?
Actually wrote about this today: https://www.ecopolibbling.com/post/the-1-spot-is-reserved-for-7 "It’s nothing against Robert - who is a generational talent and the most exciting young player I have had the privilege to watch in my 33 years on this planet – as much as it’s a testament to all the hard work Tim Anderson has put in since he was an unpolished slightly bowlegged state champion point guard from Alabama, who played short stop in his spare time." I think Anderson is the clear choice despite people's constant doubt. As long as he's dropping .350+ OBP I'm good with Tim doing the job. I'd even take a 340ish sink.

Leadoff Man going forward - TA or Robert?
4k's for Robert yesterday with more swinging strikes than Anderson had for entire months last year. Robert is going to be unstoppable but he's gotta figure some things out to be complete.

Peralta is the guy to get.

BEcause he made two bad plays in one little spring/summer session?

While I think that was an absolutely embarrassing play, this concept that it was easier than the play I posted above - for example - is jusnot true imo. That ball was hit by a lefty and was slicing hard away from Eloy. it's a play every professional baseball outfielder should make, make no mistake about it, but I think it's much more likely the average soxtalk poster would make the catch on the beckham play than the eloy play. Therefore I think the Eloy play is bad, but it's more bad from a professional athlete standpoint than an average joe could make that play standpoint.

Dude, that was a popup in the infield in the 9th inning with a man on second that led to the lead being blown. Gordon Beckham tackled the guy who was calling for the ball lol.

Are we doing this career high stuff again with guys in their 8th career start.- 8/6/20 vs. BrewCrew @ 7:10PMCT
Was one of the funniest things I've ever seen in baseball; one of the worst errors ever, but of course somehow not an error. I'm not sure if it beats this one but it's close.- Leadoff Man going forward - TA or Robert?
Robert as a rookie is going to swing and miss and strike out a ton; Anderson has batter bat skills at this point and should lead off which is why he will.- The LEGEND of Luis Robert ESPN feature article
Am I the only person who feels like this article was written in a negative light by FG to act like they were right on Luis Robert and there mid-teens prospect ranking? https://blogs.fangraphs.com/luis-robert-is-doing-a-lot-of-things/ Guy is leading the AL in fWAR, and this article feels like a deep dive into his flaws.- Ozzie isn't very good on the Pre/Post-Game
Back to the topic, this is exactly the issue I have with Ozzie doing that show. This has nothing to do with this team, and the attention isn't on Luis Robert but Ozzie Guillen.- Ozzie isn't very good on the Pre/Post-Game
Yeah, I don't need some guy to be overly positive and lie to me. I didn't think he carried water, he just didn't get as extremely negative as many callers. He also didn't get overly positive about some guys. The Sox were a dumpster fire, and Ranger had no problem calling them that. Fans were also idiots, and he had no problem calling them that. That's sports radio in general; that's what people listen for. It is what it is. This isn't C-Span; it's a post-game show for a baseball team. As for kids listening at home... give me a break guy. It's a post-game show on the radio. The caller base was indicative of the listening base for those things; no kids are tuning into AM radio post-game shows in 2010-2020 and beyond.- Ozzie isn't very good on the Pre/Post-Game
Didn't know he posted here, but always liked Ranger. I'm kind of a condescending douchebag sometimes too so that might be why. lol- Ozzie isn't very good on the Pre/Post-Game
Ranger the most sane Sox fan that has ever existed. Not shocked that caufield didn't like em.- Ozzie isn't very good on the Pre/Post-Game
Loved ranger.- Ozzie isn't very good on the Pre/Post-Game
I do as well, in general its probably not a great look for the organization though lol- Ozzie isn't very good on the Pre/Post-Game
Let her go and gave the gig to chuck. I admittedly don't watch much so who cares what I think, but Ozzie just talks about himself and rips people lol. It's funny sometimes but it's an odd structure to the show.- Ozzie isn't very good on the Pre/Post-Game
NBC Chicago firing Rahimi and keeping Ozzie; man it's a real head shaker. I'm a huge Oz fan, but the really adds nothing to these shows and says a ton of shit about people lol. Tonight's show he said he hated Swisher and he didn't belong here; Garfein was really uncomfortable.- 8/5 Sox vs Brewers GT
Garfein is so uncomfortable listening to Ozzie rip into Nick Swisher on post-game endlessly lol.- 8/4 Sox vs Brewers GT
To think I thought we were about to lose a member of soxtalk tonight - 8/6/20 vs. BrewCrew @ 7:10PMCT
