  1. Gameday is telling me this guy has his change cookin
  2. DJ just said you see the ball better after showing bunt. That seems...spurious
  3. Listening to this radio team requires undivided attention to have any idea what is going on
  4. I'm sure it won't be abnormal. There will be more people at this one around 5-6 There's no reason to look into make up game attendance.
  5. Crowd sounds sparse. To be expected.
  6. I really hope he's not planning on his best pitcher getting rocked by the gd Orioles
  7. Someone called Yordi Rosario. 19 year old who was still pitching in the Dominican Summer League
  8. That would rule so hard
  9. Chavis is a pretty well regarded prospect. He's not a nobody.
  10. I don't think the Sox do or should treat 2020 as non-competing baseball. 3 top ten guys is probably too much, but the goal should be to provide enough support for more breakouts to carry a team to contention in 2020. You have to start taking chances at some point, and imo, that starts after this season(or during)
  11. He's not going to be able to be a regular at third anytime in the next 5 years. Could have something to do with it.
  12. For my money, the best sitcom ever made. And Tobias it's best character.
  13. I'm not saying he needs to be up right now, but he already strikes me as a guy who, like Moncada, is flat out too talented for the Minor Leagues and will do the lion's share of his development in the Major Leagues. If he crushes AA, and I understand that he still needs to show he'll do this, I want him up taking his knocks against major league pitching to get him over his hump, because there is going to be a hump.
  14. A lot. And it's not worth discussing.
  15. There isn't some set AB threshold a guy needs to hit to be considered ready. Some guys are there faster. Soto had < 500 at bats. Acuna < 900. Some guys need 2000 at-bats. Robert is absolutely the type of talent that could kill the minors and not need to rack up a thousand at-bats.
  16. I don't think the cost is crazy high, A rotation of Stroman/Rodon/Cease/Kopech/Lopez(Giolito) could get something done in this division, and I would very much enjoy being that team. I say no reason not to inquire. I'd be a lot more confident in that rotation than one that just won a division anchored by...checks notes...Wade Miley?
  17. Yeah, I'm perfectly content with weeding guys out this way. It's probably on the Sox too though that more guys don't get over the hump
  18. Anderson is now officially the first Sox middle infielder to finish a month with > 1.000 OPS since Jose Valentin in 2004
  19. Agreed, we may not see next year as the year to things turn on, but I bet the Sox do.
  20. I wonder what this does to the mid season prospect rankings? Is it enough to finally have him shoot up the board?
  21. I agree, but if this is anything remotely serious, he might be cooked.
