They're a better team this year. It's not readily apparent in the record because of a few bad games from Yolmer, and some of the shakier guys in the bullpen, but it's getting there. They're pretty close to getting back to where they were before trading everyone which is step one. If there's not multiple division titles before Moncada walks, I'm going to be miserable watching the best player I've ever been able to remember their whole career go into the hall in another hat. Because good enought maybe win the central isn't very good. The Twins will be a probably be competitive, but they're not going to be some kind of monolithic obstacle.
