  1. I honestly don't doubt they wouldn't mind over paying him. But he's looking at a 4 year deal from the Mets apparently, that ain't gonna happen.
  2. My ire has long been directed at leaders. The response has been fucked at the top. If you go do stupid shit, yes, you're an idiot, but I don't think I can be mad at individual decisions when there are 15 different messages from leaders and a message of " who cares" at the very top. We're on the bus from Speed with no one at the wheel.
  3. I’ll try to find it, but there was recently a study that said immunity will last a lot longer than we initially thought. Like several years.

This shit is endlessly funny to me
  6. It’s okay to laugh at someone falling on their own sword

You don't actually see anything though. You see what someone else wants you to see, through the lens that they want you to see it.

So, the same as Cook county?

My point had little to do with your personal politics, I meant the center doesn't exist because it's all relative to acceptable American politics. If we get all this stuff: "a public option, I am pro-LGBT, I want police reform and an end to qualified immunity," and the conversation shifts to "maybe we should try real socialism?", I'd probably start calling myself a centrist too.

Because the spectrum of US politics shifted far enough right for you to be comfortable calling yourself in the Center. It's not that Centrists believe in nothing, it's that the "Center" doesn't exist.
  11. I mean with the caveat of your assumption I think you’d be an idiot not to.
  12. Buehrle will absolutely be on the ballot next year. Him and Konerko aren't comparable. Buehrle is a borderline, but probably not. Konerko wasn't close.

  14. I think anti-vaxxers are among the most ill-informed people on the planet. that being said, this vaccine is going to be a tough sell, and I can’t say I would really blame anyone for being skeptical of a vaccine developed this quickly.
  15. The flu shot is like 60% effective
  16. In this thread we have managed to get everyone an InBev laid off, and get sued by Tony LaRussa for defamation.
  17. If they win one in the next two years does he get a statue?
  18. That sounded more like a request when I saw it on twitter

The assertation that the country was "UNITED" after Katrina is absolutely hilarious.

Dude, you really need to stop lumping AOC with Biden if you want anyone to take you seriously

Trump is now 0-16 on court cases, and one case was over 592(!!) disputed ballots in PA. You're an absolute rube if you think they have any grounds to call for an illegitimate election.
