  1. Eaton has had two significant DL trips from two freak plays. It's not like he's a guy tearing a muscle every year.
  2. I really don't see why Joc would be any better an acquisition than Eaton. Or at least so substantially so that it's worth being upset over.
  3. Had a pretty damn good case for WS MVP no less.
  4. This would be legitimately annoying, yes
  5. I'm not super convinced giving Springer the bag is a great idea, so given that I've talked myself into Eaton being the better option than Brantley or Joc. I'll probably end up being wrong on the Springer bit though.
  6. Hell, it's not the first time the Padres and Preller have pushed the chips in and uh that did not go so hot. Being in the NL West must be a miserable existence.
  7. I don't really know the rules, but this feels blatantly against them lol
  8. And are still not the favorites in their division.
  9. I'd probably take the Padres but not if I had to compete with the Dodgers, even with Darvish. Padres may be better but Sox have a better chance of winning a World Series as things stand right this second, assuming the playoffs don't stay expanded.
  10. Some of it certainly warranted, but Team does Thing being immediately met with jerry bad without fail regardless of context is super obnoxious.
  11. Sox don't have a Gore, but that would be insane to give for Darvish imo
  12. Adding Yu also reeks of an offseason that everyone doesn't shut the hell about, has the starters on every magazine cover, gets called a super team, and still loses the division by 6 games.
  13. It's a bit risky for sure, but if even one of them approaches what they can be, they'll be so much better off for giving it a shot.
  14. It's more accurate to say Collins just isn't that good of a prospect. He and Mejia aren't in the same ballpark in terms of pedigree.
  15. Similarly I'm calling bs, at least on some level, on Kopech = Patino because one of them has pitched in the last two years.
  16. I don't trust scouting reports on defense like at all. Eloy was serviceable and Robert was just solid.
  17. does he slot it in top 100?
  18. “I know I don’t have a drinking problem” is something you just absolutely love to hear from someone with two DUIs Glad to hear the bar has been raised so I can stop worrying about mine.
  19. Getting the Save Our Stages Act in there is pretty neat if the rest is meh.
  20. mqr replied to wegner's topic in SLaM
Would highly recommend the album 'A Gift From God or Whatever' by Chris Farren for anyone remotely interested in punk and/or indie rock
  21. So why do you care what the team is called?
  22. People up in arms about what sports teams call themselves one way or their other need to direct their energy to something useful. That being said Native imagery is fuckin wack dude.
