  1. TBH I'm not sure the media is hyping it enough. Still seeing wayyyyy too many "The flu is worse" articles when just about every doctor in the world has come out and said this is 10x worse than the flu. But I feel you on the WHO thing, in regards to H1N1.
  2. Same with Gary Sanchez. It's more likely that they tested positive for the regular flu than they tested negative for CV
  3. Couple thoughts: As soon as a player gets it: It's over. There's no way you can continue playing under that circumstance. But on the other hand I'm not sure how the union is going to just take this sitting down in the first place.
  4. That's also if there is adequate care available. Which will be far from a guarantee.
  5. I work in logisitcs and uh......... it's bad. Also, huge hiring freezes are already taking place. I picked a really, really bad year to get off my parents insurance.
  6. This is the key right here.
  7. Tbh I don't think no fans is even feasible. Washington has a ban on gatherings over 250 people. 52 players. At least 6 coaches. Trainers. Critical stadium personnel. Broadcasters. Cameramen. That's gotta end up close to 250.
  8. We can't stop people from getting sick. It's out there and in the wild and there's not much we can do about that for the foreseeable future. We need to keep everyone from getting sick at the same time. It's not that hard to understand.
  9. LONG overdue, but what does this actually mean? Does their behavior change?
  10. Listen to the epidemiologists ffs
  11. I hope the 'I'll be fine' people stop for a second and think about their family and friends who are nurses, doctors and other health care pros that are going to be on the front lines of this thing and putting themselves in danger for weeks, if not months. And definitely don't get in a car accident after the situation blows up.
  12. A. That's only ICU. B. That number is only going to continue to rise at an exponential rate. Italy is going to get to the point where all the 15% of people who require breathing assistance aren't going to make it. That number, by the way, includes otherwise healthy and young people.
  13. The Italian Health Care system is on the brink of collapse with 10,000 known cases. This isn't a fucking joke. We have less hospital beds per capita than Italy, btw.
  14. Has anyone heard if China is going to begin shipping again? Lot's of people aren't going to be able to get meds if not.
  15. Something I’m struggling with is why the US is lagging so far behind Italy. Yes I know we aren’t adequately testing, but as far as I know there still aren’t jammed up hospitals. I find it hard to believe this would spread to Italy significantly faster than the US
  16. The death rate is going to be a LOT higher than 2-3% when no one can get an ICU bed
  17. Did you have it?
  18. This is so fucked. It’s impossible to deny an active coverup at this point
  19. SXSW just got canceled. Big time Holy Shit moment.
  20. The US is basically doing the same thing with it's lack of testing.
  21. Moncada probably should have kept his old agent
  22. Yeah for better or worse the US response is going to be totally different. I think I know which one I’d bet on
  23. Idk how anyone is focusing on literally anything else right now, not a fun time to have an anxiety disorder.
  24. There are much more important things to worry about, but since it's relevant to the board I'll say I get the feeling we're going to lose a large chunk of the baseball season.
  25. My favorite part about this is that they both observed and learned absolutely nothing from what is going on in LA.
