QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 22, 2006 -> 08:17 PM) I wish Gload would get a chance to win the starting LF spot. He sucks in the OF...but so does Pods. It's amazing how many infield hits Gload seems to get. He has more this year than Pods does in probably 20 pct of the ABs. Its amazing how well Gload hits considering he only gets about 15 AB's a month. Tomorrow Ozzie should play some ridiculous lineup since our current lineup looks about as effective as team Soxtalk would right now.

QUOTE(SoxFan562004 @ Aug 22, 2006 -> 08:14 PM) at least Lamont is winning 2-0 in bottom of 4 in LLWS... my cousin is a coach and his son is the catcher Um..stop disrespecting me by spelling my hometown wrong. There is only six letters, its not that hard.

QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 22, 2006 -> 08:13 PM) At least Garcia is on the mound tomorrow. BWHAHAHAHHA...shame on us Remind me not to watch the game tomorrow.

QUOTE(whitesoxmanager @ Aug 22, 2006 -> 08:09 PM) from maggs to raggs I have no idea what this means

Is BMac still alive? Also..I must give Kenny props for picking up McDougal he has been very impressive since coming over here.

QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 22, 2006 -> 08:04 PM) I remember everyone praying that Rongey was wrong when he said the trade was in the works. Can we release Sandy due to lack of game preparation? I love the fact that Mark B. needs a personal catcher to throw to so he can be horribly mediocre and throw meatballs up to the plate.

QUOTE(maggliopipe @ Aug 22, 2006 -> 08:04 PM) This game has given me some nasty heartburn. Kenny Rogers... Kenny.... F'in.... Rogers... SANDY ALOMAR. PLEASE RETIRE. This is just disgusting. Fixed this for you.

My most memorable moment of teh 2006 season...The Sandy Alomar acquisition.

QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 20, 2006 -> 02:44 PM) Can we take Ozzie, Cora, Garcia, Vaz, and Pods with us? We get the senior discount if we take Sandy with us too

Santana is very hittable today...even so, there is no way we get 4 runs off of him.

QUOTE(kapkomet @ Aug 20, 2006 -> 02:33 PM) GMAB. I'm far from a McCarthy hater. In fact, I'm probably more supportive of him then even a lot of you. He's been mismanaged this year, but he certainly wasn't going to be the 20-3 pitcher many make him here to be. Personally, as somone just mentioned, I would rather have him go through this season like this then see him go the route of Verlander, Liriano, et. al. The kid's going to be awesome, but not this year. As a starter this year, he'd 100% have a losing record. No doubt in my mind. Then what would everyone b**** about? I dont know how you could think 100% he would of had a losing record. Garcia and Vazquez have pitched below average all year and still are .500 or better. I would have preferred Bmac log innings as a starter in AAA than use him like this. This is like throwing away an entire season for him...no consistent work, no use as a starter, and no added confidence.

QUOTE(G&T @ Aug 20, 2006 -> 02:29 PM) Uh...Chris Widger. Alomar is here to be a better catcher than Chris Widger. The problem is that the current Sandy Alomar Jr. is not a better catcher than Chris Widger. Is Spanky LaValliere available? Javier Vazquez needs to take care of his own s*** and not complain about the Umpiring. Its not the umps fault that you and the rest of this starting pitching staff gives up the lead everytme our pathetic offense (according to Freddy Garcia) gives it to them.

Thanks Sandy Alomar..you're regretfully done and the White Sox are a joke for extending your career.

QUOTE(SoxAce @ Aug 20, 2006 -> 12:28 PM) Oh I know what you mean. Didnt want to comment on the line-up too much. But I love how Vazquez doesn't have to face Joe Mauer today. That can only help him. Definitely...however, Mike Redmond is a pretty darn good backup catcher.

QUOTE(SoxAce @ Aug 20, 2006 -> 12:20 PM) Even though I don't mind Pablo at all being there since he does have good success against santana, but Joe Mauer not in the line-up.... I'm almost always fine with Pablo playing over Pods. But whenever Sandy gets more than one start in every 5 games, that is one start too many. Stacking RH batters against a lefty whose best pitch is a changeup makes very little baseball sense. But I digress..

LHH vs. Santana this season: .269 RHH vs. Santana this season: .210 Despite this...the only lefty in our lineup today is Thome. Thanks Ozzie. I'm soo happy to have Sandy Alomar facing Santana today. That sounds like a normal day for me...except after getting up that early I dont get to go back to bed for 4 more hours... The work world hits you like a brick repeatedly day after day.

I watched Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang last night and found it to be absolutely hilarious. Val Kilmer and Robert Downey are both great in this movie. My only complaint is the movie is a little full of itself, but overall I highly, highly recommend this movie. So many funny scenes and conversations.

Dep is a great guy!! Had an awesome time on Saturday..great win and a lot of sun.

Maybe I was in a terrible mood tonight but I found Talledaga Nights to be one of the worst comedies I have seen in recent memory. Too many awkward and unfunny moments, and way too many reoccuring jokes. Maybe I missed the point

I value Scott Podsednik's defense the most because everytime he actually catches the ball I'm relieved. Actually, out of these two options, I would say Brian Anderson's because our outfield defense has been so subpar this year. Of course I would say that Joe Crede is the best defensive player on this team, and Konerko's ability to pick balls out of the dirt at 1st also often goes overlooked.

Not sure if Simon is posting on here while he is in the US, but just so everyone knows his flight was delayed but he made it in yesterday evening. He picked quite a day to fly in huh? I spoke to him over the phone and I'm definitely looking forward to attending Saturday's game with with him and his son!

QUOTE(Felix @ Aug 11, 2006 -> 01:23 PM) It's a baseball game, what's wrong with wearing something baseball related? It's not like you are insulting any of the teams playing by wearing a Sox hat. Just my personal preference...I have a closet full of clothes that don't have sox logos on them. I see no problem wearing that stuff the 2 or 3 times a year I go to a Cubs game or some other MLB park. QUOTE(Steff @ Aug 11, 2006 -> 01:26 PM) What's wrong with personal pref and a differing opinion..... Thanks for making me look like a parrot "Polly like personal preference, Polly want a differing opinion"
