I'm almost at the point where I like this deal. Heck, since our pitching has been suspect this year lets just mash the ball all over the place and see what happens. If you put Soriano at the top of our lineup it would without a doubt give us the most potent offense in the AL. We'll take our chances with our pitching staff then. With so many teams looking for pitching and with very little out there, instead of overpaying for a starter KW may decide to pull the trigger on this deal...

What's the over/under on games that Sandy Alomar actually plays in with the Sox this season? I'm going with six. He's bound to get hurt by that point.

The September callups will come later than usual since Charlotte will most likely make the playoffs this year. Besides providing this invaluable tidbit, I have nothing else to contribute to this thread.

I got the chance to go to Busker Soundcheck's farewell show at the Metro a few years back. Very talented band.

Finally got to see Shaun of the Dead. Glad I finally caved in and watched it because it was truly funny. Lots of under the cuff humor in it, stuff that I really enjoy. I highly recommend it.

Zobrist is a real solid hitter. His OBP each year in the minors is ridiculous. He doesn't have a lot of HR power but hits a lot of doubles and triples. I could see him make an impact at some point for a major league team simply because his plate discipline is off the charts.
