Just thinking about where we'd be right now (as a fanbase) if they hadn't signed Grandal. You can already see the team/media reminding everyone about that, which, was a very good signing, but only one step in making this a successful offseason in what is the most important offseason in recent memory. Without Grandal, the reality is we're likely going into the season with a nearly identical roster as to last year.

I'm thinking the less we hear today from the national guys about the sox, the better. If something happens, we won't be hearing much about it beforehand.

At this point, I'd say it's fairly likely there's some real smoke that a trade is likelier than a signing on the pitching front

Looks like that should just about put an end to that rumor, but the one question I have is where the Gomez/Castillo reports came from. I doubt they outright lied about it, but has to be some truth in there? Does it matter? Probably not.
