You're right, the sox shouldn't do anything.

Sure, I get that, but there were clear deficiencies the Sox showed which led to an incredibly bad first round exit, so I don't see the downside in improving the roster.

I don't understand the never be enough part of this-- it's not like year after year the Sox are making splash moves-- they've recently become relatively more aggressive, but good teams make themselves better every season, and favorite in the AL central is just not goin to cut it as is.

I’m now fully convinced that we should sign EE, really no reason not too. Age doesn’t really matter for a player like him, he can flat out hit, and we need more of that in the lineup. We have so many guys we need to meet or exceed expectations, I’d like more likely outcomes from a couple guys at least. He’s a perfect fit
