Nomar Mazara Speculation
He has more value in 2021 when McCann isn't here any longer. Kind of hard to dismiss him after 100 ABs considering his bat.

Nomar Mazara Speculation
Im not trading Collins for 2 years of Marte. We don't even have a pitching staff for 2020.

Nomar Mazara Speculation
For a FO that is keenly aware how they are perceived by the media, fans, players, GMs, Agents, this move makes no fucking sense and would be a huge embarassment.

A Realistic Offseason
Yeah I'd feel much better gambling on Nimmo to just stay healthy since he's productive the rare times he is.

Nomar Mazara Speculation
They have Marisnick they don't need any more OFs. They have like 6

Nomar Mazara Speculation
Finally some confirmation. They had to move someone from that OF

You have to wonder if Castellanos is asking for 5/100 or something.

Ricky doesn't use things like metrics, he uses his gut.

Nomar Mazara Speculation
Because I was including Dallas and a RP

Nomar Mazara Speculation
What is our payroll? Like 80 million? So our payroll would be around 100 million again? Lol Even if they got Dallas and a RP we'd be like 10 million more than what we played with last year.

Nomar Mazara Speculation
How do you look at our RF situation and then look at Mazara and see a fix?
-
Nomar Mazara Speculation
This is gross. Why would they trade for a garbage player when RF was atrocious last year? The dude can not be our starting RF.

Successful Plan B; What’s Next?
Man I want nothing to do with that if he's getting 9/330. I wouldn't be mad at the Sox if that's even remotely close.

4/400, DO IT HAHN YOU COWARD

Trade Market for Starting Pitchers...
I don't want Archer because he sucks, not because of his salary. I'd be fine with someone like Price who still has value on a bad contract + AB. Archer is bad.

Offseason 2019-2020 MLB Catch All Thread
Myers is owed 20 million a year the next 3 years and has negative WAR. The WSox shouldn't ever entertain this. This is something the Marlins, Tigers, Orioles, et cetera should look to do. That contract is awful.

Successful Plan B; What’s Next?
I'll tell you what goes up if he signs ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Ryu to Jays - 4 yr/80 mil
Blake Snell is not the only guy in baseball the Sox could trade for that could provide 3ish WAR.
-
Ryu to Jays - 4 yr/80 mil
Well he pitched 180 or 90 last year so idk? 110?

Ryu to Jays - 4 yr/80 mil
I think Bum is 10x worse then gambling on Ryu. And I've stated multiple times on here if DFK is our major pitching aquisition I'd be seething with rage. I think we have to work out a trade. None of these pitchers left are worth anywhere near what the asking prices have been and outside of Ryu (IF* healthy****) they both look like really expensive #4's here. Hard pass.

Successful Plan B; What’s Next?
Full disclosure I'm full on the Big Dick Nick train and shamelessly shill for him while downplaying his defense. Pay?that?man? He REALLY looks like a late bloomer with the stick and I think he ages much better than someone like Ozuna. His power numbers have been creeping up every year for 3 years. He knows the Central, GRF OF is not some engineering monstrosity like Comerica, the dude fucks at the plate. Do it.

Is Jeff Mathis a joke to you?

Ryu to Jays - 4 yr/80 mil
Man, I would fucking love him if he could just not be a fat injured shit. I think putting him in a rotation of all righty flamethrowers would add really needed balance as well. If Jerry said "Fuck it I'm dying soon anyways Lol" and decided to have a top 10 payroll I could stomach it. I just don't think he's ever going to have an Ilitch moment and not give a shit about payroll. 20 mil per for a guy not on the mound REALLY hurts the WSox.

Ryu to Jays - 4 yr/80 mil
Some of you guys want to sign guys to just sign them. 2019 was the first time Ryu has thrown over 180 IP since 2013, his first year in the league. Him going on the 10 day DL for fake injuries doesn't explain why he's thrown over 150 IP only 3x in his career, 2 of them coming in 2013 and 2014. The dude is ALWAYS hurt. Gambling 80 million dollars he's somehow going to reverse his career norm while being older is foolish. Wheeler had 1 big injury with set backs. It's not close to being the same as Ryu's history.
