Luis Robert posts and deletes Instagram story of himself at Charlotte airport
Madrigal shouldn't be called up yet imo. Robert is a no brainer though, somebody here said he was "seal clubbing", that is pretty accurate.

Detroit is so bad. They are sooo far away from doing anything. It boggles my mind they didn't trade Boyd while he's having his best year.

Im okay with giving him a 1/10 deal because we should have a legitimate 1st baseman in 2021.

Hahn expects aggressive offseason
I agree, MN got pretty lucky with a lot of the scrap heap players they picked up. You can't rely on those types of signings to work out like they have for them. I just think the Sox are in a much better place with the core being so young and a ton of financial flexibility to not go after guys like that. There is no reason they shouldn't be signing premium free agents over the next couple off seasons.

I've said this before but Eloy really needs to have a good off season, he looks terrible at the plate. Whatever is going on with him isn't something that can be fixed on the fly.

Hahn expects aggressive offseason
If they sign guys like Hamels or Cruz this whole rebuild was a joke, despite the success they have had this year. They should be signing top youngish talent, not guys playing year to year until they completely fall off due to age.

I'd take Girardi tomorrow. The knock on him I guess is he's not into the new metrics.

It's really weird seeing Miggy completely lose his power. Usually when guys get to that point they can't hit at all but hes at .280+

SoxTalk fan pulse: How far away are the Sox from competing?
120 million is the 20th ranked payroll this year, only 7 million above Detroit. There is no reason we should not be higher than that in 2020.

- 8/6 | Sox @ Tigers GM2 | Santiago vs VerHagen | 6:10pm CT
Can you explain this? I have no idea what this is referencing.- 8/6 | Sox @ Tigers GM2 | Santiago vs VerHagen | 6:10pm CT
Eloy has been putrid.- 8/6 | Sox @ Tigers GM2 | Santiago vs VerHagen | 6:10pm CT
He was optioned.- Lineup Optimization
120 million would put us at the 20th ranked payroll in Baseball with 2019's numbers. Only 7 million more than what Detroit is playing with right now. - 8/6 | Sox @ Tigers GM2 | Santiago vs VerHagen | 6:10pm CT
