  1. Their payroll is 90 million this year while not competing. If we aren't sitting at 150 at least next year we have a problem.
  2. There's a lot of if's for next year imo. I'd say around .500 next year and challenging for the division in 2021.
  3. Yeah mutual option, I thought he was a FA.
  4. He's making 18.25 million this year it looks like. 2 years around 40 million seems reasonable
  5. Where was Cease sitting with his FB today?
  6. He's a guy that could get on for Robert/Moncada when the lineup rolls over. To be fair we really don't know what Madrigal will really be yet but it looks like high OBP/low slugging. I think he'd be a perfect 9 hole guy that can extend an inning for the top of the order.
  7. This is like the Manny shit all over again . They need to just do it.
  8. I really hope they go after Grandal as well on a 2 year deal and just rotate him from C/1B/DH. He's probably my #2 want after Cole, I just don't think the Sox will go after him because McCann/Collins.
  9. I'd bat Robert first next year, he's similar to Acuna and that has worked out pretty good for ATL. If you don't have Madrigal in the 1 or 2 spot he's a 9 hole hitter.
  10. Fulmer doesn't have any options left. He should have been up before the ASB, but yeah he needs to stay up here after his DL stint to get a better look.
  11. He only has 2 years in the majors. I wouldn't be mad retaining him for next year with another offseason under his belt.
  12. Those Cubs games really messed his ERA up. I think he'll end in the high 2's.
  13. I was thinking 6/180 with player option at 3 and club option at 6. I'd sign him 6/167 tomorrow, especially considering we have no payroll.
  14. I'd be curious to see what they do with Dunning next year. I assume they will fast track him back to AA after a few starts in A ball. I don't think we see him in a Sox Uniform next year though, maybe late August if he's doing well/not shutdown.
  15. They need 2 starters since we have Gio, Cease, Kopech, Lopez all slotted next year and Kopech/Cease on innings limits. I'd think Rodon slots back in after he returns and the innings have been met. 2-3 pen arms. Right fielder And a 1B/DH. Thats about 7-8 players they are going to have to sign.
  16. Madrigal would be a rookie too, lol. I'd like Robert at leadoff, similar to Acuna.
  17. That would depend which McCann it is. First half McCann I'd want around 5 or 6. Second half McCann probably 7 or 8.
  18. Because I'd assume Eloy is going to hit 35-40 HR a year in the 4 hole and I'd rather have McCann in front of Anderson.
  19. If they are going to slot Robert as a leadoff guy I might want Yo at 3 and a higher OBP guy at 2. Assuming Madrigal would get on at a good rate I'd like Robert Madrigal Yo Eloy McCann Tim For the first 6. After that is speculation on roster.
  20. I just flipped it on. I see the box score but does Lopez look good?
  21. Why do we think the Mets are trading Nimmo? We don't have any pieces to trade for him anyways.
