When Cease was going well his delivery was much more rhythmic. I'm not sure why he went back to the slow tempo then explode delivery because it adds so much more violence and it hingers his command. His stuff is good enough that he doesn't need to overthrow. Just hit your spots and the rest will take care of itself.

My guy Luke Leto had a down summer but he put a good swing on this ball. His timing looks much better and if he has a good fall maybe he can get himself back on the map.

MLB is trying its damndest to kill scouting but smart teams will never let that happen. Technology is a tool but it will never tell you if an18-21 year old can play. Only experience and getting to know the player will tell you that and that's what scouts do. Teams that think they can look at a computer screen to tell them if a kid can play are in for a rude awakening.

It's a money grab. They want to take control of the amateur summer circuit. There's obviously a shit ton of money to be made and they're tired of seeing all of it going to Perfect Game and PBR. It's just going to be a very difficult transition and I have zero faith they will do it right.

There's a difference between a reach and a money saver. Schwarber was not a reach. They paid him $1.5M underslot. He was a money saver.

Scwarber wasn't a reach he was a money saver. The Cubs paid him a $3.125M signing bonus. The Sox paid Rodon a $6.5M signing bonus. He was a tremendous pick by the Cubs. They got the better player for less than half the money.

It's going to mess up the draft schedule because teams won't have the entire summer to scout next years group. Major summer events like PG National, East Coast Pro, Under Armour Game, PG all star game, Area Codes and numerus summer tournaments will all be affected or canceled. It's also going to mess up summer college leagues. I don't think they fully understand the summer scouting circuit. They will most definitely reduce the draft and that is also a mistake. Teams are being short sighted because they look at it as paying players who won't make it to the big leagues when in reality they are playing against the guys who will make it to the big leagues. Those guys have to play and develop against someone.
