Mazara’s career line against lefties in 574 PA:

I really hope Kenny and Ricky don’t believe the crap they are trying to sling here. Mazara turns into Adam Engel against lefties.
Man, Boras really worked his magic...
“Reds signed OF Nick Castellanos to a four-year, $64 million contract with a $20 million player option for 2024.
The deal contains opt outs after the 2020 and 2021 seasons and could potentially max out at a total of $74 million.”
Exactly my point. They don’t have to have a woman on their cast just to fill a quota. But I guess if they feel they have to, there’s always Jennie Finch.
But I’m not so sure about canning Mendoza in relation to the cheating scandal. They already have the biggest cheater on the crew, A-Roid afterall.
Yeah, Stone mentioned that Madrigal still had a few things to work on in Charlotte before he gets called up. He never mentioned service time for either player.
I just think his value is limited as a 1B only, and expected to be average at best defensively there. Also, while he was hyped as being a great hitter overall, he wasn’t talked about as having massive power.
I don’t want to deal him but I definitely think Hahn should be willing to for the right player.
Steve Stone made every excuse in the book without ever mentioning service time, haha.
“You don’t want him pitching in the early season cold weather... you want to save his innings for the playoff run...”
I was thinking that maybe they planned on moving Castellanos to 1B to replace Votto but I just checked his contract and he’s locked up through 2023. Yuck.
Sure, why not lol. Extra throw-in!
Vaughn, Stiever, and Fulmer for Senzel.
Hahn mentioned he is still searching for a long-term RF target. If there is any truth to the Reds making Senzel available, go nuts Rick!
I’d honestly rather trade for Senzel than go after Betts or Springer next offseason.
Do the Reds need a 1B prospect to replace Votto? Would Vaughn and Stiever get it done?
What can we give up to make this guy our RF? That would surely improve our OF defense a ton. I know I am dreaming but if he is available, Hahn has to check in on him.
I thought he was going to be cheaper with the way things were going. At that price, it’s very nice to see the Cubs lose him but stay in that division.
Oh, and LOL to all the ridiculous rumors that he was waiting for the Cubs to free up money so he could re-sign with them.
