you are always an ontological reality to me!

thanks... why haven't signed anyone on our major league level from Japan? Other teams have - and done quite well.

what you mean, I didn't? yes I did! two shifts at one job and 1 shift at the other. you surely get paid for the time today? I am on salary at the office so being there at 9 pm didn't earn me an extra cent and since the church gig is supported out of my own pocket (I work with people in adult foster care homes - they have no money, we take no collection) that is all not only income free but I pay to do it! Not very bright on my part. I am feeling very sorry for myself now but I am making the appropriate hand signs of forgiveness to get you some dispensation for whatever stray sin you may have once commiteed - we have no icons for the sign of the cross, which is really ironic if one thinks about it -

why are you visitng other message boards???????? I will describe my thanksgiving dinner - as I have 1,037,891 food allergies, it went like this: turkey mashed potatos (low sodium salt, no carb/no chorlestoral/no calorie/yet tasteful yellow spead that looks like butter at $4.50 for a small tub, and no-fat soy liquid and distilled water) corn (low sodium salt, no carb/no chorlestoral/no calorie/yet tasteful yellow spead at $4.50 for a small tub) onions, tomatos, cucumbers, green peppers cranberry (whole berries) and for dessert: soy product sugar free frozen treat today: leftovers, oh yummy but I did stop at the local bar/restaurant for dinner and NTN game and had the item on the menu they named after me, the "Vinnie burger" which is 1/3 pound hamburger, no bun, only tomatos and onions, and low salt chips - any pickels and condiments being out since they all contain vinegar (and vinegar feeds yeast and activiates the sugar-fructose-sucrose process in the body and kills) amazingly, once one gets used to eating only for fuel and not to actually enjoy, it does get healthy and cheap as hell other than the $4.50 yellow stuff - tonight: soy product no sugar chocolate mousse! other benefit: since no can eat no yeast nor anything that feeds yeast (such as vinegar) I am yeast free - think about it, yeast is a fermenting product and fermentation produces gas as a by product so no yeast means never being socially unpresentable or embarassed!

I moved this thread to palehose talk because we have been talking about the Sox and Matsui in this thread - I really want to see the Sox go and sign some players from Asia - it is the new explosion of talent and marketing wise it only helps as well - but someone is going to have to explain to me the Sox chances of getting Matsui or anyone because as much as I really, really want to read the article in SI, I cannot get past the cover. I mean, I see there is a Matsui article in there but I can't get past the cover...

Good point, sir. I suspect a lot of our fans have no idea what the ticket prices are at Fenway. When you want their payroll, WS fans, pay the prices the BS fans pay and pack the park like they do. Until $ is put where the mouth is, it is all so much flatulence.

I always wonder when a bunch of males say they are looking for a "stud."

There are no other White Sox message boards! at least no other really nifty keen ones like soxtalk!

I realize today are a day off from school but the verb you want there are not "is."

yo, I was sitting at the local bar happily playing the NTN game after a long day of work in the law office and also doing Sunday's church bulletin and setting up the chapel for Sunday (which is work, including change of paraments, setting up advent wreath, etc.) when suddenly I remember we have a law office client coming in tomorrow (Saturday) to sign the papers to close out the estate - and after I tear the office apart looking for the file - normally the file hits my desk a few days before the client comes in so all the work is done in advance - I can't find the file and call the dumb ass who is the lawyer and say, "do you have the file at home?" The answer from Mr. I-havn't-done-a-damn-thing-on-this-estate-because-my-legal-assistant-has-done-everything is "oh yes, I am working on my bill." :fyou :fyou :fyou :fyou :fyou So I am sitting here trying to do all the final account paperwork, without the file, from documents on the computer when you have surely gone home from your banking job, Jas is reliving his golf, and everyone else is out partying. So don't feel too bad for yourself...

I deleted a post that I found to be in the range of racially insensitive to racially bigoted. I deleted a response post because it quoted that above referenced material. On second thought I should have just edited out the quote and left Brandofan's response, which was to the effect of: "hey man, this is a serious thread." I apologise to Brandofan for not having thought of that option faster than I did.

journalist was front line, CK, not behind the lines, but front line not fair to mock Gore on that, not fair at all

all the pro Bushies out there - argue about the draft and service in Vietnam which none of you had to face - ever- fact is CO was not something that was at all easy to get so it was "available" - and it required a eomonstration that one was truly a pacifist based on religious grounds and that was not something that everyone who opposes vietnam could claim - Clinton did not dodge the draft, he opposed it, he did not serve because of student deferments, as did many, and in the code of honor, that was high above those who used family connections to get in the guard and then went AWOL from there - there be distinctions here that a generation that has never faced the draft (let alone in wartime) can fathom - and nuke, your info in what Clinton did in England is urban GOP myth, not truth - lets look at what all the Bushies have avoided - what about that. What about the denial of monetary civil claims against Iraq that our POWS from 1991 won in court and the Bush administration has gone to court and had overturned.

I am loving seeing the Dolphin's old jerseys in the game on now. Dolphs have been my pro team since they came into the league (I could never cheer for a team that played at Wrigley). I may make a little room for the Lions, but the Dolphs are my my team. Just wish Miami had a coach

you guys want the key? Here it is - a direct therapy from Masters and Johnson when you masturbate, most guys try to come as fast as possible - stop that! Instead, try to extend as long as possible, make it last, hold off, take a break, slow down, take it slow - the body conditions itself you can increase your staying power there is no reason that it cannot always be "ladies first" but the male is set up such that it takes a bit of training - that is the therapy that Masters and Johnson used (it works) (key is never act like you are so happy to be "getting something" but rather as if you have been there before and what is taking place is about everyone's satisfaction)

amazing I am a Harrington fan and turning into a Lions fan after living in this state since 1975. Actually did a Lions game thread thing today. Whoa.

guts to fly in for a campaign photo op for 2 hours? The safest place in the world is on Air Force One. Give Bush credit for having 2 hours more today with the military than he did when he was AWOL. Do you think while Bush was there he explained why his administration went to court to overturn the verdicts in favor of US servicepeople who got civil judgments against Iraq for torture while they were POWs in 1991?

Good because Fick is one of the few players that I really cannot stand in any way shape or form

you have a point there but I didn't read all of the other thread either. if I am guilty of piling on, I am guilty, but I still get to say what I want since it is a new thread and calls attention to itself. And if the lecture was given, good, and not so bad to hear it again sometimes. Or not. the best place to apologise I think is in the original thread - had it been there I would not have known about any of this and life would be just fine. As it was, the word in the title puzzled me and it took me a few minutes to figure out what the thread was about. But your point of piling on is noted and considered and perhaps is very well taken, so, thank you. Edit note: I have read the other thread. I know why i reacted to this thread. My older sister is mildly mentally retarded. I have vivid memories of people making fun of her, imitating her. Kids at church youth group, neigborhood kids, cousins. I could never stop them. Sometimes to be like others, I made fun of my sister too. I was sometimes embarrassed she was my sister. That is a guilt that I carry every day of my life and can never make up. But I am overly sensitive about people making fun of others because I flash to people doing it to my sister. My former wife has a child who is now 31 who is profoundly developmentally disabled. Because of her I saw many, many children in that situation. I am the chaplain of a two adult foster care homes with people with all kinds of developemntal disablities. Maybe I am trying to make up for childhood things. I over react sometimes. The problem is mine. I am still trying to make up for things - but I also see my sister's face when she was taunted when people mock others and I will react, just a part of who I am.

Whatever happened to be polite and decent to others and saying, if you think CLee is a better player, I would disagree." Instead, rudeness. I don't have a clue? No, I disagree with you. I respect your opinion, but not so sure about you anymore. I have a lot of clues on talent. And I did not say who I thought was better, I said who I would rather have. And I can also figure out other things about people.
