and this week, Kansas State is hosting Loyola - that is not the Loyola of Chicago which has no football team, not even KSU sinks that low, they are hosting the Loyola high school team, since that is a football team that needs a payday

The Parque-haters have been vocal for awhile now cw. Butter really turned off alot of fans when the Sun-Times printed that Butter-b****-Fest when he was in the White Sox minor league system. Butter's, "whoa is me..... I've done everything they wanted me to, but I'm still in the minor leagues when I should be in the Major Leagues, what else do I have to do?", while only being able to go 5-6 innings in the minor leagues with an astronomical ERA", pissed off alot of Sox fans. Then to come up here and get OWNED by Cameron when he's "ready"? Most Sox fans said, "f*** him" after that. I know I did. sure, but he was a competitor - I'd rather a player say put me out there then I'm not ready. and just to remind everyone: ND=cubs! That was your line of the year!

who sang the song "Dream On"? not to be unkind, but playoff tickets are going to go for $$$$$ if I sell 1 or 2 of mine, it will be either be to a life long friend of 30 years or more, or, if to someone I don't know. for as muich money as I can get because I need to recoup some of my finanacial outlay for the tickets I am using

who else can play 2nd for us? let alone half as well as an older Robbie? I never liked him when he was with the Tribe (cuz he beat us too much) but he has been very good for us so I'd keep him Alomar Sr played for us, Alomar Jr will undoubtedly stay with us as a coach when he retires as a player, so keeping Robbie is kind of a family thing -

we are lucky if the Tigs take one from the twins -- but it is in our hands - we win our games, we don't need any help we have Yankees at home - so at least we have that

yeah, I think everyone did/does like Siro - he was a hard working player who had success and as likable in a low key way player as we ever had

DK, I might just write you into my will for that post... and nuke, I met Parque, thought he was a great guy - in I were in a fight, he'd be the eone person I could count on to keep battling despite the odds - all the parque haters (which I don't understand) will come out now but I liked the guy's attitude. He was no quitter. And Sirotka - always liked him too - felt really bad we lost both of them but if the D Wells trade hadn't happened, what makes anyone think Siro would still be pitching, or parque for that matter?

so you are alive and not dead that means your absence from the threads about yesterday's football game is intentional, not because you are dead, and is thus typical of the usual person who talks up Notre Dame. Figures. As cubkilla wisely said, nd=cubs always hiding when you lose now back to baseball

Now how in hell can you remotely blame JM for anything with Parque and Sirotka? How in hell can you do that?

No team with Trammel as its manager and Gibson has a coach has unofficially "tanked it", let alone "officially" having done so. When the Tigers put out a press release announcing they have tanked it, I will believe it is official. When Trammel and Gibson are fired, I will believe they have unofficially tanked it. And that isn't going to happen. Until then, I will believe that this weekend they are doing their best and losing to a team that is fighting to win a championship and has more talent than the team fighting to not lose 120. The only thing that matters is the Sox taking care of their own business and then it makes no difference what anyone else does. It is in the Sox grasp if they want it.

no one hates colon i haven't heard a good word about him in the club house, in fact, a lot of the opposite, and I tend to agree with those who think he turns it on only when he wants to I want him to win every game he pitches for us, every game I cheer for him to win I am an American - I bow down to no one except my God

michigan has won 11 too and more recently nd=cubs in the child-like alcoholic fueled nature of their fans imagine the worst trash talking cub fans you know and imagine them in a green troll like suit and those are nd fans just like they were all talking big last week and are no where to be found tonight - a year ago when we lost by 2 or 3, whatever it was, I was on the boards that night, I didn't hide - and I was getting bombarded by trash email from ND fans - not one, not one has emailed me yet tonight - but wait until ND beats Navy and they will be all over the boards here figuring out how they deserve a BCS bowl bid if their fans would just shut the hell up, like cub fans, the team could be appreciated a bit but their fans make one hate them ND=cubs, just as cubkilla said

Olivo was 0-4 tonight with 4 K's. We brought up Burke to play as the 3rd catcher and the brass rave about his defense. Pinch hit for Olivo and bring in Burke or Alomar to catch the final inning. Olivo is almost inept at time with a bat in his hand and that is sad. He needs more experience granted in game situations, but with a pennant at stake you try to score runs and not let Olivo learn how to use the lumber. He has on ocassion showed us he has hiting potential, but far to often he has looked absolutely terrible. However, saying that I note that Big Hurt K'd 3 times himself and that ain't good. I wish Frank could see the benefit to just getting the base hit from time to time. It's great to see those 40 homers but there have been yeasr when he hit .330 with 40 plus homers. This year it's .265 or so and he can do better. you all realize when bmr and I agree we have to be right? if we had pinch hit and put in Burke he'd of had to bat in the 9th put in Alomar and he het's hurt, we're screwed cuz we have to play Burke then tonight and he is still an AAA catcher and this was a big game we won, you all know that? baseball is not all stats and not all cut and paste which is why none of you is undefeated in your fantasy baseball leagues baseball is a team game - we got the insurance run that inning and we had our best defensiove catcher in there in the 9th and when one player Ks another player needs to pick it up and that was what happened I intend to enjoy the win and not fret about a decision that worked out perfectly but hardly anyone likes because the manager of a 1st place team in the division made it

has anyone heard? he was gone today for a death in the family - has anyone heard about whether we have him tomorrow?
