  1. I think naked baseball would be fun for everyone -
  2. did I quote that part of the post? No I did not. I only said I could give up 217 hits in 20 innings and I stand by my word.
  3. only 217 hits in 20 innings? I could do that! If that's what it takes to be a starter, I could do that!
  4. the practice is called fragging and killing officers has been around for a long, long time - from all news reports thus far it appears it was one of our own.
  5. cbs reported it was a soldier arrested -
  6. here is a question fpr you not to fight with you but to ask you this sincerely: and note that I think grass should be legalized but if it is it will be with an age limit like cigarettes or alcohol - if blocking traffic is illegal, and smoking weed is illegal, how do you pick and choose which laws you think are ok to break and which shouldn't? Why were you enraged when they were looking for drugs at your school, which is enforcing the law which you were breaking, and enraged at demonstrators who broke a law? If those who block traffic should be jailed, what about thsoe who break the drug laws? What moral basis do you have for making these determinations? I am asking for honest conversation, not for fighting - and I am very interested in the dialogue that could happen here.
  7. Interesting discussion on Dr. King. I suggest you do some further reading on Dr. King's views on war and violence. And on civil disobedience. The Letter from a Birmingham Jail wasn't written because he was there on a traffic ticket. I commend your interest in Dr. King. As far as flag burning, I asked a long time for some link that was a news report that a flag had been burned and it hasn't been provided. But whether a flag was burned or not - and I would not burn one - it is a form of speech, of free speech. A flag is only a symbol. Symbolic action is speech however disagreeable it may be to you. And it is constitutionally protected speech. Not my opinion - it is a Supreme Court ruling. Flag burning is one of those issues in which people get all emotional about but very rarely happens in proportion to the excitment about it. And if it does happen, what does it mean but reflect back on the doer of the action? It is of no harm to this country and what it stands for. If we want to move the discussion to respect for the flag, we would probably have a lot of common ground. The flag is often treated not in accordance with flag etiquette. I have a neighbor who flies a flag 24 hours a day, it is not taken down at dark, and is not lighted. That is improper flag usage. As well, remember all those newspapers that printed American flags after September 11th - how many of those ended up in the trash or on the ground. (I still have mine neatly preserved in my September 11th file - couldn't bear to throw them out.) And I get really angry when I see cars whipping down the road with flags that are shredded or in in disrepair, or the same when one is flown that is in shabby shape. Of course the proper way to dispose of a retired flag is to take it to to the Legion or VFW where it will be burned. Ironic.
  8. It was all weird. Oh well. This board is the best.
  9. I have been a member at WI forever but if I have been there 5 times I doubt it. However this thread got me curious so I went over and looked at what was so horrid and I don't know who is who it appears that you were posting happiuly along and "voodoochile" or whatever dragged out something from the past, you said it was past, VC got attitude, you said LMFAO and VC banned you. Is that about right? If I interpreted the avatar right, Voodoochile is an Ohio State fan. What would expect other than strange behavior from an OSU fan?
  10. I thought Wunsch showed why we need him - he put out White's fire -
  11. Bo Jackson is the best athlete of the past 25 years -- how could you not have been a fan? And "generational" thing? I'm only 22. I mean I never knew anyone my age who was that thrilled by Bo Jackson as opposed to other players. But a lot of people your age rank him far higher. I suppose kind of like I have an appreication for Ron Jackson that you'll never have - although granted that B Jackson was a more versitile athlete than R Jackson -
  12. I thought Wisconsin beat Tulsa??
  13. Thanks for pointing out the fact that you've lumped myself and all the other pro-President/pro-Troops into the "Jr. Saddam" category. I'm glad someone showed me the road I'm heading down. BTW..... that is the most prejudiced and offensive statement made by a poster on this board since the beginning of the Iraq War..... using a Goering speech to describe myself and other's aside. hey, my friend, key words are "scream venom" as opposed to differ rationally. Everyone can put themselves in their own camp there but CK I was not thinking of you at all when I wrote that. And I find a lot of very offensive posts in all of these threads. The ones that call people antiAmerican or anti our troops are deeply insulting. The posts that called for deporting everyone who protested and other such things - that is Junior Saddamism. And it exists in the right and the left and for those who have no political philosophy and only are about aggrandizement. CK, if I wanted to call you out, i would that to you, but as I said, i wasn't thinking of you there. If I wanted to call you out, I'd start by calling you a f***ing Notre Dame fan before I went anywhere else.
  14. I don't think that Goering quote was aimed that the pro-war folk; I think it was aimed at the cowboy in the White House and his top officials. Of course, that's how I read it. and that is how it was intended, as you read it -
  15. If the Irish actually did suck, they would have at least one excuse for their existence.
  16. I'm sure you don't. you have no problem being condescending but you never really explain yourself when i point out your hypocrisy. I forget you are 16. A person is born certain ways. White, female, gay, Asian, straight, whatever, and that is just the way they are because the DNA says so. Words that demean someone because of the way there were born is offensive. A person can choose from any of a number of philosophies. For someone who is against dissent, who would use government force to silence, deport, or otherwise threaten citizens who disagree with the government, that person is a Saddamite. First of all I am not 16. Second of all, where is this gay DNA gene. I am not disputing the possibility that people are born that way but that is a fuzzy explanation. Why has this gay DNA gene not been charted? It's like saying people are naturally violent; it's possible, but there is no proof. And thirdly, just because you don't agree with people blocking traffic to protest the war, doesn't mean you are against dissent. Offensive is in the eye of the beholder, calling someone Little Saddam is offensive to me, and if you expect someone to not say f***** because it offends you, then you should be prepared to amend your own language. Your argument is weak. If you are not the person who said dissenters should be shipped off to Cuba, then I owe you an apology and got you confused with another poster. And if that is the case, I apologise to you and redirect my words towards that person. If you are the person who said that, it stands. The DNA is being charted now. The literature on what makes a person what a person is is still being developed.

    Shock and Awe

There is nothing simplistic about the following except to those who resist facts becasuse it interferes with their rants: We sold him the weapons. If he's got them, then Rummy has the receipts. Also, take into account that Doug Rokke and Scott Ritter said that Iraq had over 95% compliance in 1991-1998 until they and the other UN inspectors were ordered out by the UN. And according to our own CIA, it is astronomically impossible for them to have a working nuclear program and the sarin, VX, etc. all has passed it's shelf-life so it's goo pretty much. Tell me, 420, if you are the leader of a country...and a much larger country comes out and says "get rid of weapons or we will beat the s*** out of you" and then threatens you as the "Axis of Evil" and that they intend to oust you if you get rid of weapons or not, are you going to be apt to get rid of weapons? And if this war is so important and the threat so imminent, then why did the US and the UK find the need to lie to the US public so often and so very convincingly in order to galvanize support? Why couldn't they tell the truth if it was needed?

    Shock and Awe

You don't have to get in bed with bad people sometimes. Never let yourself get f***ed for a short term goal. I disagree with your teacher, respectfully, on that. To arm Saddam so he would fight with Iran was stupid, f***ing US policy and no one needed to climb into that bed. Saddam was a whacko tyrant from day one. That what we would do by arming him would come back to haunt us (as well as what he did to his own people) was as predictable as the sun rising in the east and setting in the west.
  19. I will use the word f***** a lot too, for you. Why not bring that tube of KY over here and I will show you how it is used, my little piece friend.
  20. I'm sure you don't. you have no problem being condescending but you never really explain yourself when i point out your hypocrisy. I forget you are 16. A person is born certain ways. 21. And I hope you grow up some day. Since your views violate the Bill of Rights, may we press for your deportation to Cuba where people who have no tolerance for diasgreement belong? Or perhaps North Korea? Then you can be in with those who attack anyone who disagree. You surely aren't much of an American who supports the Constitution. Sleep well tonight Little Saddam. Maybe someday you can grow up and get at all the people who disagree with you and your views of the country, just like Saddam and his sons have done in theirs. maybe you should calm the f*** down maybe you should grow the f*** up

    Shock and Awe

As the father of a Marine, the utter hypcorasy of what you are saying appalls me. And you don't even see it. Never send off someone else to do what you are not prepared to do yourself unless you want to live as the most selfisha nd chicken s*** person. When a Marine or any service person fall in the line of duty, those who sent them there better be ready to take their place in line. America was built by people who backed up their words with their convictions, not with (cowards? hypocrites? pick the word yourself) who talked big but wouldn't getinvolved themselves. People with balls use them for something other than hanging onto when they are scared and hiding behind others who they send to do their fighting for them.
  23. what happen to my freedom of speech and f***** does not always mean you like other men it basicly means f*** you. Now who in the world threatened your free speech? I asked you kindly and esxplained why the usage of certain terms are very offensive and derogatory. If you don't get that, you are not the person that I thought you were.
  24. Psycho, use your head. Your take on this all is naive. If only life were so simplistic. But it is not. And Sadam's soulmates are precisely those people who would stifle dissent and differening opinions. The only difference between those who scream venom at those who dissent in this country and Saddam who kills those who dissent in his country is that we haven't let the Jr. Saddams take over the government - completely - yet. I love you, kid. I want to be there when you get commissioned. And I want this nation to eman something, this nation that you wish to serve, and the maelstrom that we have entered into is an area of greatest danger. Read what i wrote elsewhere about who has embraced Saddam and others like him in the past. It is very short sighted to think the problem began in the immediate past or that war is the answer to it.
