The word "incompetent" would be dripping from your lips...) we need a diversion. "boy...you put politics aside when US troops go to battle...bunch of hypocrites..all of them..." That was never done when Clinton was president so don't fling that bulls*** now. Your own post attacks Clinton for the use of power. Wag the Dog was all we heard when Clinton went after bin Laden. If the Republicans had been concerned as with what was going on in the world as they were with partisan obstructionism, obsessing about blow jobs, and cheap shots at our president, history may well have been different. Where was the support for Commander in Chief Clinton? No where. So do not ask for what you did not give. So Bush reaps what he sowed. His own inattnetion to terrorism because it was Clinton's warning on bin Laden that was turned over on 20 January 2001, or the Al Queda briefing came up the day Bush was more concerned about Enron - so what has he given us? Wag the Dog with his daddy's war rather than go after bin laden - color coded days - oh I am sure that has terrorists shaking in the boots - and being the biggest god damned pansy woos ass of all. A real president would say, hey, we have this problem we have to address - iut will cost money - we have to pay for it - if you want to fight terorism you have to pay for the fgight against terrorism - no, instead we get the destruction of the American economy from surplus to tremendous deficits, what was the last estimate, $330 billion one year deficit WITHOUT the costs of any war and WITHOUT the leave no rich person behind tax cut proposals pf Bush - A real president would give us the fast and the costs and set us on a course of action. This one wants guns and butter and lies and smoke and mirrors and big talk words on which he never delievers while he wrecks the American economy. So thanks to JoeyBatters for his attack threads that lead to people attacking each other in here. we can keep arguing in here and build walls between friends or get on with the business of being Sox fans. Dunn's stats for his first two years are almost identical to CLee's. No proof that Dunn will be more than what he is - if he his plateaued, then what have we gained, he is putting up CLee numbers and we already have CLee who improves every year and is no where as bad as people make him out to be. And CLee's next hitting surge is going to be awesome/. Meanwhile Griffey for Mags is someone who has way too much fantasy in their lives. Makes me very thankful that KW is our GM and not anyone on these boards. We are building a team around Mags, and you don't f*** with that to come out even or less just to say, how bout it?

Mike, I go to baseball to get away from s***. If the show is just more in my face s*** about stuff that i do not believe and am trying to get away from, or if those rants attack the things that I believe in, why do I want to listen to that on a baseball show? It was funny maybe once when it was a one time only thing. I'll just take a permanent pass because my friendship with you is of great importance to me. I go to baseball to get away from the ravings of druggers and alcoholics or anyone on political maters, which I can easily find without listening to people that I want to care about doing it. Whether joey is trying to bait sideshowapu, or me, or anyone else, I don't listen to baseball to be baited on other matters. We don't do that when we are together; we stick to baseball and things that make us friends. If my head is up my ass on this and I am being a jerk, then let me be, because I am just doing what I need to do so that I can be friends with people who I care about very much, like you.

as much as I love joeybatters as a friend, down to have a matching Sox tattoo, if joey on the air is like the joey who has posted, you've lost me as a listener. I want to hear baseball, not rants, not political rantings. I love joey as a brother and he knows that, but I have to be honest. I was glad that he got out of rehab but what he has posted so far disturbs me. It is not the joey that I have known and loved these past several seasons.

that is really sad - not that he is sober but that my friend, my dear friend who has yet to say hi to me, has taken such a different direction than the one he was on whe he was with me, and has gone the way he has. I thouhgt the rants and trashing of peoples and intolerance was a manistation of the lack of sobriety - although he never did that around me ever, he was the opposite - and not something that would further be developed in sobriety.

this is not the joeybatters I know and love- the joeybatters was a lot of fun, a true Sox fan, and that is where his passion went, not spilling over into such violent speech and attacks on people who view things differently than him- I don't recall in my my time with the real joeybatters that I saw ever this sort of thing. And also never saw JoeyBatters blow off his friends, failing to acknowledge them. Whatever is up, I will be happier when my old friend JoeyBatters returns and this current incarnation goes far, far away.

make it pinball baseball and I will kick everyone's ass - for some reason my parents who were otherwise very dull people had pinball machines in the basement and when you can play for free every day as much as you want... My father still has one pinball macine in perfect working order and he is moving into a retirement center. He knows that I am eyeing that pinball machine (and he is pissed that I have high score on it...) but he says that he is bringing it to his retirement center. But someday that machine will be mine... no comparison between Tiger Stadium and original Comiskey (and I have been to both plenty) - Comiskey was far more beautiful.
