that episode is the shame of the 1990s that we can never explain. and that is a collective we - every nation in the world - but any nation that claims moral authority is especially judged by its own claims there was no political will to do anything in this country - Clinton gave it some thought and the Republicans in Congress sent the message no f***ing way, they would exert their political strength to demolish any US attempt to move, and Clinton acquiesed. Plenty of shame on everyone.

That is one of the most unethical and illegal practices ever but very time consuming sndf thus costly to prove in court and their profit margin is such they can easily afford the occasional law suit that is a burden on those who have lost their businesses.

thank you for the great wallpaper!

you could have included Fielder Jones who did the one thing that most of our young Sox fans would give their left one to see... but you had to include Bevington

net two games will allow us to judge him by the Ed Walsh standard

who is the pic you have? for myself I am remembering someone too these days -
Veeck is an easy choice for those who forget how he continually traded away or gave away our futures both times as owner, selling out our future to sign old and cheap players and pay his bills and paying his bills was always a higher priority than the team on the field he put on a show, though he sold us down the river and would have sold us to Denver had the MLB owners not stopped him

nice story.... or...... Cito Gaston wanted to name his own, not KW's, coaches and wanted to actually act as and be the manager without KW interferance and then as bonus Ozzie was so eager for the job he not only agreed to a lap dog but he works cheap.... .... there is that story. take one's pick!

there is no other choice based on the names we have

I also boycott WalMart. I am pleased to know someone else here does too.

oh come you, you are too good for that. If I were to say that by low paying the employers the salaries and bonuses of the executives would be higher and that was to feed Republican contributors, you'd say I was silly, paranoid, overly partisan, or absurd. The mirror is on you now, my good friend. And in reply to a few other threads, a lot of workers cannot support their families on $8.50 an hour which is one of the higest WalMart wages; many places it is $6.50 an hour. Either one, feed a family, pay rent or a mortgage, and pay child care out of that and see how wonderful $8.50 or $6.50 is. None of us adults supporting ouselves let alone a family would be happy at even $8.50 an hour. I am happy for those who can work just for etra scratch. When you are working to live, that is a wholly insufficient wage. And of course that is without medical insurance.

I don't want to ruin your illusions but that probably wasn't "chocolate" either. But would you spend $4 for something called "Tepid Brown Chemicals with Artificial Flavors?"

A win tomorrow will pull Ozzie into a White Sox managerial tie with Doug Rader! 1-1

I think this is not humorous: They did the same thing in Portage, Michigan, put $$$$$ into a campaign to avoid zoning, traffic problems, and environmental conditions, and at the expense of roughly $3,000 per vote in the local referendum they bought themselves (with a 51% vote) a store that violates zoning, any concept of traffic sanity, and wrecks havoc on the environmental needs of the old celery flats, one of the lowest sitting in the water table places in the area. Big money can buy elections, as we know.

WalMart is not exactly unknown in my part of the world and their major push to destroy the Meijer stores with imported goods is not playing well in a state where we have lost 220,000 manufacturing jobs
-
The only part of that sentence that is true is "they are nonunion jobs." WalMart can go :fyou itself. :fyou :fyou :fyou :fyou :fyou :fyou :fyou :fyou :fyou :fyou :fyou WalMart
