Hes bad as always. I'll never forget in may 2013 against the marlins. Tie game bases loaded 9th inning, Rios hits a ground ball, beats it out pretty clearly, Angel so far away from 1st base calls out and Hawk was like "cant get himm..OH NO. NO. NO another blown call by Hernandez"

My worries about Tony forgetting how to manage after 10 years off are not big anymore. Hes doing well, albeit with one of the most talented rosters in the league. He has a reputation of making sometimes great but other times head scratching decisions with the bullpen.

Our pitching staff is pleasing me.

Atleast our players are likable and not a Jack waggon like Wilson Contreres. But back to us. All mlb teams will struggle on offense in the 162. I still like this club if Tim Anderson can get back to hitting .310+ and yoan can hit at all. And if Tony can stay awake I still think we are in the driver's seat.

Joc is good pickup. I am kind of scratching my head at the Cubbies, sure it was a shortened season, but they were often pretty good last year before losing a 2of3 series with the Marlins (which happens in baseball). They do need to retool the lineup but I have no clue why they traded Darvish, didn't get much from it and he was very good last year. Cubs were better than they believed they were. Now time for me to take a shit on them for gigs. Ive enjoyed reading Tom Verducci's book "The Cubs Way" because it stresses how brilliant the Cubs were: Ricketts, Theo-Jed, Maddons genius mind?, young future superstars, how they draft/sign/trade, skys the limit/dynasty blah blah blah. And simply put, I knew the ceiling of there young players, pitching staff was getting old aside from KH, and Arrieta was the X factor for them in 2015-2016 and his decline/demand was imminent. Here they are in 2021, but hey its baseball who the fuk knows what will happen next season.
