QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jun 9, 2009 -> 10:21 PM) His last loss was May 16th. May 19-June 1, he had 6 appearances, we won every single one of those. Then he pitched June 5th vs CLE, we lost 6-0. He's given up 4 earned runs ALL SEASON. pwned Some people just need stuff to b**** about.

QUOTE (KipWellsFan @ Jun 9, 2009 -> 10:19 PM) Yah, we're all upset. But this isn't any kind of terrible move by Guillen. Just played the wrong card is all. See the gas prices going back up? It's cuz of Ozzie.

Thought Wise was out until that shot from behind the plate. Kinda sucks since, ya know, the ump was looking right down at the play.

That was an awful effort by Alexei and Dye.

QUOTE (Friend of Nordhagen @ Jun 9, 2009 -> 09:10 PM) I don't think most of these guys are second-guessing. I think they called it before it happened. Touche. You got me there. But if Thornton comes in and gives up a hit, other side is saying we should of put Curtis on.

Second guessing cracks me up. Nobody blames Mark for walking the first two guys. Especially when Raburn may have been trying to give up an out.

Thought it was a routine flyball off the bat. Brian must have been playing him to pull.

QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Jun 9, 2009 -> 08:52 PM) He fit perfectly for that character, or so it seemed based on descriptions of him. Is the character boring, monotonous, and bland?

QUOTE (Sox1422 @ Jun 9, 2009 -> 07:29 AM) It's not just for kicks. It's because they are both better than the guys I want them to come up for. The MLB White Sox would be a better team minus Wise and Fields plus Danks and Viciedo. Doesn't Viciedo have like 12 errors already? As bad as Josh is at 3B, that is hardly better.

This Zack Morris interview better be on youtube or hulu when I get home. He looks the same as he did in 92.

QUOTE (dasox24 @ Jun 8, 2009 -> 11:54 PM) I recently finished the mini-series Band of Brothers and it was phenomenal. I know it's not a movie and this is a movie thread, but I figure a mini-series is close enough, so I thought I'd mention it. Definitely a very cool look at the march to Berlin from the paratrooper perspective, whereas most accounts I've seen/read are from guys that landed on the beaches on D-Day and went from there. Bastogne was hell. And it's definitely sad when you see how many of the original guys that trained at Camp Toccoa ended up dying or wounded pretty badly, but the series as a whole was great. Can't believe I waited so long to finally watch it. Watched it when it first ran on HBO. Tremendous. Was hard having to wait a week for the next part.
