Peer to Peer Sharing
I have no idea what's legal or not in Canada but I pretend to be safe by using Peer Guardian. It's kind of cool using this because you can see who's trying to hack into your computer while dl'ing. I get the weirdest places too. I use torrentspy.com for movies and btefnet.net for television shows. I'm sticking it to the man!

A BIG Breakfast at BK
QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ Mar 28, 2005 -> 03:46 PM) It's my understanding that eggs are in the same group as meat, fish, and nuts. But I don't think they qualify as meat. My breakfast on weekdays is never more than a glass of orange juice. I know it should be more but I never leave myself enough time and I don't have much of an appetite in the morning.

Certain star no, but I'd say there's a good chance he could hit .300 over the course of this year. I'm thinking that this should be in the fantasy central forum.

US deserter not granted refugee status in Canada
http://www.cbc.ca/story/canada/national/20...man-050324.html I don't know where this guy is coming from. He enlists in the army when a Republican government is in power and after 9/11, what did he expect?

Comments from Air Canada Centre
QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Mar 23, 2005 -> 10:52 PM) I think it's a Toronto thing, because we went up last season to see the Sox play the Jays, and the place was DEAD. There was a good amount of people, but you could hear a pin drop in there. Don't know what it is about them, it's just what they do. Well I'd think they'd be silent at the Raps game last night because they got their asses handed to them and on the issue of baseball after the 1994 strike baseball has never been the same in Canada at all.

Frontline Tonight
QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Mar 23, 2005 -> 12:24 AM) I heard there was a movie coming out called "Gunners Palace" or something like that which was supposedly a no-bs 1st hand account of the action over there as it happened and told by those living it. I totally want to see that one. Sure is, check out the trailer using quicktime http://www.apple.com/trailers/independent/...palace-tlr.html

Need a Heroin fix?
While I don't know if this is a good idea or not I had been under the impression that the government wasn't giving away free heroine but clean needles. I'll have to check it out.

QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Mar 22, 2005 -> 10:56 PM) The only thing that got me was when the "doctor" shot the dog... I wanted to reach through the TV and punch that f***er in the nuts. Yah it wasn't exactly Cujo.

Frontline Tonight
Yup you're right A Company of Soldiers had been on previously but I obviously missed it. I watched it tonight though and it was pretty interesting. What got me most was when at a newly set up checkpoint (2 soldiers and a humvee), a car began approaching down an off ramp towards the checkpoint. When the car got within around I'd say around 300 yards they fired a warning shot. But no more than a second after the warning shot the other soldier gave the order to begin firing. They claimed that in that second after the warning shot the car began to speed up! And the soldier just drilled into the car. You could see it start smoking and then high tailed in backwards up the ramp. I can now see how easy the situation with the Italian reported could have happened. Also a funny quote in the show Soldier #1: Who would bomb a church? Soldier #2: Muslims. I believe I've seen a soldier's heart as well but for some reason my internet doesn't want to open those links up so I can check if I have seen it. Those links work for anyone else?

Frontline Tonight
There's a 1 and a half hour episode tonight about a BBC crew living with coalition forces in last November and December. I believe it's on at 8 central time but I couldn't check because the PBS website pbs.org seems to be down. Anyone else planning on watching?

Possible Sox&Reds Deal
QUOTE(Soxbadger @ Mar 22, 2005 -> 07:26 PM) I like Garland. Hes young, he does not make that much money, and at worst he is a .500 sub 5. era pitcher. He also has pitched over 190 innings the last 3 years. Durable young pitchers with good stuff are not something you just give up on. Or atleast thats not what I would do. SB And if bloody Buehrle didn't get injured we'd have one of the best #5 starters in the game.
