Only player I have ever met is Dennis Savard. My buddy and I challenged him and his friend to a game of bubble hockey. they were at Champs in Oakbrook... We won...and he was like best out of three. So we beat him again. He bought us a couple beers...and said thanks it was most fun he had in a while. I'm like you know I'll be telling everyone I beat Denis Savard..he was like yeah yeah...ya caught me on an off night. He continued to get hammered for like 3 horus after that ..and I was like dam Denny can put them away. 1 month later DUI....

QUOTE(TheDybber @ May 13, 2005 -> 12:53 PM) Oh c'mon Yas. He needs to put his money where his mouth is. Rush has this tendency (and yes, I do listen to him from time to time) to make this grandiose statements about the way things should be in the world according to Rush. This is one of those statements, no matter how anyone thinks the coverage is slanted. Take them on, Rush, what are you afraid of? I highly doubt Rush is afraid of kids...he'd come off looking bad whether he debated them or not....If I was him I would let it go...

Just got back from Garland and AJ signing. I asked AJ who called the change last night... He was like...I DID man come on now...with this big smile on his face...Jon lokoed at him like...easy big guy...haha they were both cool... there was this old lady behind me...who freaked when the guy in front of me had a 2 foot gap in front of him..she was like 'hey are you in line'..he's like sorry mam. I was thinking dam this lady is serious about her sox. Anyway after waiting about 20 mintues a lady goes up to her and asks who's over there. The lady in line answers I don't know I heard somthing about some ball players...I just want to get me a free pen. So then I say it's garland and pierzynski from the sox and they are promoting organ donation. Then the guy behind her tells her you sign the back of your license to donate and she goes aw forget that...I ain't donatin my organs...and she left the line. Fricken people just get in line cause there's a line......Id say half the people in line didn't know who or what they were in line for. All you kept hearing was whos that...whos that...

QUOTE(mreye @ May 13, 2005 -> 10:09 AM) That's the way I saw it. It may have been a little more forceful than neccessary, but the result was more because of the runner being off balance. Off balance AND you want to make sure the umps see you make that tag....the guy is running away from you you cant just swipe at him and hope the ump thinks you touched him....you make sure the ump sees you touched him.... this was nothing but a good play...

I emailed him and I kept it rather tame to maybe get a response....I would have added a few 'f*** yous' if he was gonna run, hide and spin his story. He definitely should stick to Nascar... My email to Bechtel... If your ultimate point is that it's frustrating to be a White Sox fan...I have to agree with you. It ain't easy. We dont settle for losing like cubs fans do. So when we lose year after year it sucks...it eats away at you. It pisses us off, ruins our day, but we dont quit. We count the days till spring training. We don't say ah who cares. We want better. We keep coming back with new found optimism so when it does happen we can say "I was there back when..." The Sox are a hard working team that makes the best of what they have and that epitomizes the makeup of a lot of us fans. We have had a total of 6 things to be happy about in the last 87 years... A World Series title: 1917 Pennants: 1919, 1959 and Division titles: 1983, 1993, 2000 6 things!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hell yeah it's frustrating If those things make the sox hard to root for then I agree, but all you listed were some jackass comments...about our stadium, our announcer and our coach. I got news for ya pal...I don't want to win for losing...I don't want to be lovable losers. Not caring about winning games doesn't make a team better to root for. I don't want a broken down urinal for a ballpark. I want the state of the art facility we have. I like a biased announcer that roots like a fan and I like a fiery coach that is just one of the guys. If those are really your reasons for the White Sox being the worst team to root for, then you should stick to writing about NASCAR. Flat tire here, bad pit crew there...that's clearly more your speed...cause you don't know s*** about the Sox.

QUOTE(sox-r-us @ May 11, 2005 -> 03:15 PM) Honest question: Why can't a 1B play the 3B position? After all they do play that position against the left handed hitter .... My logic is if we could send Paulie to 3B, then we can have Frank play 1B and Carl as DH and send Crede's ass to the bench only to play late in games as defensive replacement for Frank (Crede goes to 3B and Paulie moves back to 1B) Just a thought.... -

There comes a time where you weigh the pros and cons of a role player on your team....Timo's cons definitely outweigh the pros. Like someone already said..he makes 1 or 2 mistakes every game he is in...that just make you cringe. Get rid of him... -
Don't argue with cub fans...it makes your head hurt.

I dont fly planes...but jesus christ if I did and I was in Washinton DC....Id' be pretty dam sure not to fly in restricted airspace. What the f*** is wrong with this pilot. His license should be revoked for stupidity....not to mention what he cost taxpayers with his ignorance.

Later R-Dub....you had one good year and dogged it after your contract.... Good Riddance Vasher, Peanut, Azumah will be fine. I love the switch with Green and Brown too. -
I'm in and I think he's starting to come around too. Come on!! Win or DYE trying!!

Yeah I don't consider Tampa a bad team. 2nd in AL in average...good speed at the top and a great manager. Their pitching is why they suck and to be honest any major league pitcher on any given day can just flat out get it done. So you will lose to teams like the D-Rays sometimes. I truly believe the only real easy team we played so far was KC.

I'm trying to get 4 tix for Fri if anyone has any for sale. If not I'll just buy the upper tank and sit in the BP bar.
