  1. must have... I'll give Ryan a pass until his next poor signing. But why pay for a poor-hitting infielder when you have 3 who haven't reached arbitration yet?
  2. I thought he was a providence RI guy.
  3. Castro is a terribly perplexing signing... He has a career OPS of .600. for a combined OPS+ of 57. He's sure-handed, but has poor range. The twins already have a plethora of mediocre middle infielders. (Bartlett, Cuddyer, Rivas, Punto, Ojeda) Oh and they are going to be giving him $1M for the next TWO seasons. Why????
  4. I've had that same idea in the back of my head for a few weeks now... I still don't know how I feel about it though...
  5. 108 hits allowed in 148 innings generally moves you pretty swifly up the list... I'm a bit reserved on Tracey... He was completely off of my radar until about midway through the season.
  6. Last year's list. I'm closing this thread. No need to have two threads on the same thing. Go here to discuss. http://www.soxtalk.com/forums/index.php?sh...view=getnewpost
  7. Yeah, he'll stand up, and corner you in an elevator, or on a plane.
  8. September 2003: Konerko had a terrible season. He's a headcase. He's slow. He gets in extended slumps. November 2003: Sox are looking to move the inconsistent Konerko for pitching help. December 2003: Deals for Konerko left on the table. Niether team feels they are getting enough in return. January 2004: Deal still on table. February 2004: Deal finally pulled from table. "we have faith in Konerko, He will bounce back." April-September 2004: Arguably the sox most valuable player. Unarguably their most consistent player.
  9. Orton, What a joke. In the most important 3 games he played this season (54 of 108 for 591yards 3TD 3INT) all losses. He made his numbers look good by running up the score against inferior opponents(6TD's, Throwing 54passes for 522 yards in three quarters while up 40 points)
  10. I'm holding off... I've got Clemens on my team... He's a sure keeper, but only if he doesn't retire. So I've gotta wait.
  11. And he would be smart to do so... Koufax was only Koufax for less than half of his career.
  12. There have been for years.... His kid is a Soph(?) OL... He's not going anywhere.
  13. GT playin' terrible, UIC should be up more if they wanna win.
  14. It also likely helps a team from the MAC... or Mountain west... something like that.
  15. Did I ever tell you that I think you're cute PA?
  16. My dad was raving to me last night about the Iowa game he watched this weekend. He said they looked great. And get this... They supposedly were lights out from the FT line. Alford may actually have something this season. I'm not holding my breath though.
  17. CSN's pretty cool... /I watched the Grey Cup yesterday... Argonauts
  18. it was the same guy. But he was down at court level just before the Melee started... I wouldn't think that as a reporter(whatever his credentials were for) he would bring his kids to the game and sit them alone a few rows up from him, while he's at "work"
  19. I haven't. It's hard to turn down the guy who's the OC of the undefeated #2 team in the country. Especially when he has ties to one of the largest, most influencial college football fraternities going right now.
