  1. Waitin for some fresh Freddy Garcia Pics to put into the July Wallpaper... Check over at my blog if the site is down for them later tonight or tomorrow. Cheat's ChiSox Blog
  2. Jose is second on the team in Win Shares.....for hitters. Only Frank has more... Jose has more than Pauly, More than Maggs, More than Lee, More than Uribe.
  3. Screw that -- I'll take a performance like those two anyday... Those two didn't have the most talent in the major leagues, but they battled, they were warriors on the hill. They didn't get intimidated, or back down from anyone. They pitched with heart. They problem in the 2000 post season was not our pitching staff. If MB pitches like them in October, we'll have no problems.
  4. I believe he's 32. Or he was last year... So that's what you need to know about that.
  5. All is not lost before the ASB... We were 8 games out the day after the ASB... the team was not dismantled. TheWorld Champs were 13 games back the day before the break -- http://www.baseball-reference.com/games/st...date=2003-07-12
  6. pics here http://www.mjmorningshow.com/morning_DebraPics2.html /hot for teacher. Damn red 'x's
  7. I'm still not eating crow... I haven't liked his play for the most part. He has been clutch, though. And he showed a bunch of improvement, in the cubs series. I'm not on the bandwagon, and I don't care if I ever am... I just hopes he keeps proving me wrong all year.
  8. if your worried about that, worry about shoeneweis. He's putting a much greater load on his arm this year, than he has in the past two.
  9. It has effected thier ERA's. Take Buehrle's last outing, prior to tonight, mark went back out there in the 8th, gave up three straight singles, Ozzie pulls him and Broussard puts the next pitch from MJ in the seats... That f***in hurt Marks ERA.. I don't care abuot ERA's though, and I don't think the starters do either -- THey just want to win.. I don't even worry about the pitch counts, at least not with Buehrle, Loaiza, Galand, and Garcia. Those guys have proven that they can handle the load. Their arms have built up thte strength to handle the long grind of the season. My one concern was Schoeneweis' ability to hold up for the long haul, he hasn't started in two seasons, and has already surpassed his Innings Pitched total of the last two years. We still need another arm as an insurance policy.
  10. since Billy left, The Sox bullpen = 11ER / 30.1IP = 3.26 ERA. (that includes four fricken HR's geven up by MJ) Koch = 6 ER /7IP = 7.71 ERA
  11. Post of the night --- From a Marlins board.
  12. You're surprised? We saw a lot of those -- Especially last year.
  13. I'm astounded that nobody has mentioned Air Bud. And the classic sequal Air Bud: Golden Receiver.
  14. I hate to burst your bubble, but after next season, Shingo is as good as gone. His agent is none other than Scott Boras. 'nuff said.
  15. found my post... I should be a GM http://www.soxtalk.com/index.php?showtopic...ndpost&p=220618
  16. Not really, but check around the American league these days and there's so few pitchers with ERA's under 4, anyone who gets close is a good pitcher.
  17. Mauer hit a 87MPH fastball.
  18. No real surprise to me -- I detailed all of his starts for the Orioles last year. -- My Conclusion??? Garland > Ponson... You wouldn't belive how many people wanted to argue with me about that.
  19. Damn you Bud Selig. It's the WashingtonPost... It'll be back up... All the more reason to pin this sucker.
  20. I expect a 1 page (double-spaced) report on my desk in the morning.
  21. bump --- How about some pinnage, mods? Otherwise, I'm going to have to bump this until everyone does their "required" reading.
  22. Back, Back in the day Foulke actually set up for him.
  23. You need to watch some more Maury Povich... She's behind schedule, she should have 3 kids by 3 different father by now.
